A lone pair of socks on a clothesline. An empty telephone booth. An overflowing garbage bin. Two elderly women chatting from a safe six-foot distance. All of these scenes offer a strikingly cinematic look at a United Kingdom brought to a halt.

And yet, there is something subconsciously familiar about all of these scenes. Each shot resembles a Guinness – à la Tootsie Roll’s iconic ‘whatever it is I think I see’.

features images set against a heartfelt Jack Savoretti rendition of the classic ballad Always On My Mind – a song made famous by Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson.

The campaign is a toast to the recent reopening of pubs and bars in the UK, and broader efforts to lift social restrictions as vaccination efforts make headway around the world. “The campaign was inspired by that all-too-familiar experience of seeing something we miss everywhere we look – in this case, a pint of Guinness, in a pub, with our mates,” says Neil Shah, head of Guinness Great Britain.

The campaign follows Guinness’ Raising the Bar initiative, in which the company pledged $42m (£30m) to support UK hospitality and pub businesses through the challenges of Covid-19.

The campaign from AMV BBDO is led by a 40-second film that offers glimpses of everyday sights that vaguely resemble a pint of the black stuff that might have been witnessed during the past year while pubs were closed.

Shutterstock has launched 'Through Their Eyes,' a $10,000 grant to champion underrepresented female and non-binary creators, and their creative projects across photography, visual journalism, videography, illustration, 3D modeling, and writing.

Launching on International Women's Day, the inaugural grant aims to celebrate and embolden the diverse perspectives of female and non-binary artists, by highlighting their visual stories and providing a glimpse into their thoughts, experiences, and perceptions of the world as portrayed in their art. Moving away from stereotypical content and towards more inclusive works, 'Through Their Eyes' focuses on the female gaze at a time when women and non-binary artists are increasingly taking hold of their own narratives.

The ‘Cadbury Worldwide Hide’, developed alongside communications agency VCCP, enables the hider to hide an Easter egg anywhere in the world and share a personalized clue with their loved one to help them find the egg. The hider can either choose to purchase one of four special edition Cadbury Easter eggs for the seeker to physically receive once they find the egg online or they can choose to hide the virtual egg for free.

An NFT is a cryptographic token that represents something unique and has an individual characteristic that sets it apart. Owning an NFT is like owning a one-of-a-kind work of art or a collectible antique. There’s nothing like an explosion of blockchain news to leave you thinking, “Um… what’s going on here?” That’s the feeling I’ve experienced while reading about Grimes getting millions of dollars for NFTs or about Nyan Cat being sold as one.

You might be wondering: what is an NFT, and what does it stand for?

Non-fungible token.

That doesn’t make it any clearer.

Non-fungible tokens are used to create verifiable digital scarcity, as well as digital ownership, and the possibility of asset interoperability across multiple platforms.

Since we began sending probes to the surface of Mars, our experience of their landings was a nail-biting silence, punctured only by a NASA Mission Control engineer announcing milestones in the spacecraft progress. That all changed with the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover filming its February 18 landing. Six of the 23 onboard commercial cameras shot high-definition footage of the supersonic descent—dubbed the “7 minutes of terror“—and first surface movements. Three cameras trained on the parachute, while another three videoed the descent stage, rover, and approaching ground. Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the Pasadena, California, facility that built the rover and manages the $2.7 billion mission, premiered its high-resolution video during the briefing. This marks the first time we’re able to watch a spacecraft land on another planet. “These images and videos are the stuff of our dreams,” said Mars 2020 entry, descent, and landing (EDL) lead engineer Allen Chen.

If asked to draw ketchup, what would you draw? That's the question Heinz asked people all over the world in an anonymous social experiment. The result? People drew Heinz Ketchup. Now, Heinz is inviting Canadians to 'draw ketchup' for a chance to see their artwork come to life on the iconic Heinz Ketchup bottle.

The pancake and syrup brand formerly known as Aunt Jemima has officially rebranded as the Pearl Milling Company. The new brand identity, which includes the “same familiar red packaging,” will appear on store shelves this June. Parent company Quaker announced its intent to rebrand last June after producing products under the Aunt Jemima name for nearly 100 years. At the time, Quaker pulled the image of the Aunt Jemima character, saying the brand—despite a 1989 update including “a contemporary look with pearl earrings and a lace collar”—” has not progressed enough to appropriately reflect the confidence, warmth, and dignity that we would like it to stand for today.”
