The evening also marked a special moment as John Griffin officially passed the honor as Leadership Lake County’s 2025 Leader of the Year to an exceptional leader and valued community partner, Dione DeMitro of United Way of Lake County (Ohio).

Dione’s dedication to servant leadership, collaboration, and strengthening our community makes her incredibly deserving of this recognition, and we look forward to seeing the continued impact of her leadership throughout the coming year.

As this chapter comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what an incredible honor it has been for John Griffin to serve as Leadership Lake County, Inc. 2025 Leader of the Year.

Over the past year, John has proudly represented the values of servant leadership, community partnership, and relationship-driven impact throughout Lake County.

Tonight, he will have the privilege of passing the torch to an outstanding leader and one of our valued client partners, Dione DeMitro of United Way of Lake County (Ohio).

Dione’s impact across our region has been extraordinary. Through her leadership in nonprofit service, education, and community development, she has built meaningful partnerships, inspired collaboration, and created lasting positive change throughout the community.

Her compassion, authenticity, and commitment to serving others make her exceptionally deserving of this recognition.

Griffin Technology Group had the honor of attending United Way of Lake County’s Annual Meeting & 2026 Campaign Kickoff Breakfast last week.

During the event, Christine Galiardi Weber, President & CEO of the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce, was recognized as Woman Leader of the Year — an honor celebrating exceptional leadership, achievement, and dedication to strengthening our community.

While Christine was unable to attend personally, John Griffin had the opportunity to accept the award on her behalf. We’re still not entirely sure if this officially adds “award-winning Woman of the Year representative” to John’s resume, but we do know the recognition was incredibly well deserved.

Griffin Technology Group (GTG) was also proud to renew our commitment as a 2026 Community Impact Sponsor for United Way of Lake County (Ohio).

Additionally, GTG’s own Dr. Kristina Willey, who serves on the United Way of Lake County Board of Directors, has joined this year’s Campaign Cabinet to lead the Small Business Division for the 2026 campaign.

We are honored to support the mission of United Way of Lake County and celebrate the leaders helping move our community forward.

Another highlight from this past month was spending time with local businesses during a Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce membership appreciation tour.

As Chairman of the Board for the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce, John Griffin joined fellow board member Paul Catalano and Amy Marsh of D&S Automotive/Defender Auto Glass in personally visiting Chamber members to thank them for their continued investment in our local business community.

Strong businesses build strong communities, and taking the time to connect face-to-face with members is an important reminder that relationships remain at the center of everything we do.

Thank you to all the businesses and organizations that continue to support the Mentor Area Chamber and help Lake County thrive.

One of the highlights from this past month was supporting the incredible work of Forbes House during their Mother’s Day Tea.

John Griffin Griffin, President of Griffin Technology Group proudly served as a VIP Tea Concierge, helping welcome guests and support an event dedicated to advocacy, awareness, and hope for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.

Organizations like Forbes House play an essential role in strengthening our community through education, support services, and outreach — and we are grateful for the opportunity to support their mission.
