Today is the 43rd anniversary of when Steven finally made it back home to Merced. He returned from Ukiah after a long drive accompanied by two police officers from Ukiah Police Dept. Whilst entering Merced, Steven started to recognise some of the places where he'd once walked and been to in his hometown. Upon arriving at Bette St, there were lots of news crews, people of the community and his family who hadn't seen him for 7 years.
