💧 The Colorado River Basin supplies water to 40 million people across seven states -- one of the most critical watersheds in the American West. It's also home to 12 of Meta's water restoration projects, part of our goal to be water positive in 2030.

Meta is proud to partner with Queen Creek Unified School District around hands-on STEAM learning across the district. Since 2021, we've been investing in high school health and engineering courses, equipping every junior high robotics lab and supporting STEM programming across local elementary schools.

Meta’s Mesa Data Center is proud to celebrate the opening of the new STEAM Lab earlier this month at Playa del Rey Elementary School. This hands-on makerspace gives students a dedicated space for robotics, engineering, arts, and creative problem-solving — designed to spark curiosity and innovation for years to come.

The celebration was made even more special as the school earned the prestigious Arizona Educational Foundation A+ School of Excellence designation! A huge thanks to the Gilbert Education Foundation & congrats to the students, educators, and families who made this possible.

At Meta, we’re proud to partner with Junior Achievement of Arizona to help students discover their potential and prepare for the future. Through the JA BizTown program, local students step into the shoes of adults — managing businesses, working with server racks in the Meta shop, and designing ads to learn about marketing. 👨🏻‍💻

This hands-on work experience gives students a practical view of their community and exposes them to a world of career possibilities. Together, we’re helping thousands of learners annually build skills for work and life, fostering a stronger, more equitable Arizona.

Big news in clean energy ☀️🔋

Last week, Meta announced two partnerships pushing the boundaries of what's possible for powering AI infrastructure.

We're working with Overview Energy to bring solar power from space to Earth—satellites collecting sunlight around the clock and beaming it to solar farms on the ground. And we're partnering with Noon Energy on ultra-long-duration storage that can hold clean energy for days, not just hours.

These are the kinds of investments that help strengthen the grid and support reliable power for our data center operations here and across the country.

We're thrilled to spotlight one of our 2026 Mesa Data Center Community Action Grant recipients — Education Empowers! 🎉

Through the Meta Data Center Community Action Grants program, we're proud to support local nonprofits like Education Empowers that are making a real difference in STEAM education right here in the Mesa community.

This Saturday, May 2nd, Education Empowers is hosting their Annual Aerial Drone Competition at Saint Peter Indian Mission School in Bapchule, AZ — and they need YOUR help!

🙋 Volunteers are needed to make this event a success for local students. It's a great opportunity to support hands-on STEAM learning and connect with your community.
