dBTechnologies USA powered one of ’s most ambitious worship production projects, with deploying a major VIO system inside a 13,000-capacity arena in Tallahassee, Florida.

Produced by Alabama-based AVL and set design company Overflo Productions, the event transformed the arena into an immersive worship environment built around live music, spoken word, large-scale visual production, and high-impact audio reinforcement.

The system featured 24 VIO L1610 large-format line array modules, 20 VIO L208 compact line array elements, 12 VIO S218 dual-18” subwoofers, and 5 VIO X205 point-source loudspeakers for supplemental coverage and front-fill reinforcement.

Using EASE Focus and dBTechnologies Composer, the Overflo team tailored system coverage and voicing for the arena’s 3/4 seating configuration, maintaining intelligibility, musicality, and impact throughout the venue.

“We’re an AVL and set design company approaching twenty years of service,” says Tim Spidel of Overflo Productions. “For productions like this, consistency and musicality are critical. The VIO platform gave us the output, coverage control, and overall sonic performance needed to support both the energy of the music and the clarity required for spoken-word moments throughout the service.”

Taylor Bishop served as System Technician for the event, overseeing deployment and system optimization, while FOH responsibilities were handled by Michael Keith Lewis. The production also utilized an Allen & Heath Avantis console platform alongside network infrastructure built around a Ubiquiti Dream Machine environment.

The project further highlights the growing role of dBTechnologies VIO systems in large-scale worship production environments, where modern church productions increasingly require concert-level performance, speech intelligibility, scalable deployment, and reliable system control.

dBTechnologies has released a new and expanding preset library for its IS Series installation loudspeaker range, providing system integrators and installation professionals with optimized loudspeaker processing files for a growing list of widely adopted amplifiers, audio matrix platforms, and signal processors.

Available through the company’s dedicated IS Presets portal, the library delivers validated processing configurations designed to simplify deployment workflows, accelerate commissioning, and maintain consistent system voicing across a broad range of installed sound applications and third-party processing ecosystems commonly specified throughout hospitality, corporate, education, entertainment, worship, immersive audio, and multi-zone installations.

The newly released preset library supports platforms from manufacturers including LEA, Powersoft, Lab Gruppen, Sonance, and Linea Research, while also integrating directly with dBTechnologies’ own IA Series installation amplifiers. Purpose-built for fixed installation applications, the IA platform combines DSP-controlled Class-D amplification with RDNet® and Dante® networking capabilities, supporting both low-impedance and 70/100 V system architectures within Aurora Net. dBTechnologies has delivered a distributed audio system for Tequila Town Miami, a temporary 25,000-square-foot immersive, multi-room experience at Toledo Studios, where sound is treated as a continuous narrative element across a sequence of indoor and outdoor environments.

“The sound system was built through a layered approach that scales loudspeaker type, placement, and processing to match each environment,” says Montana Masback, Concept Developer and Strategic Planner of Tequila Town Miami.

Tequila Town positions sound as a structural element of the experience rather than an overlay. Smaller spaces maintain clarity and intimacy, while larger environments scale in dynamic energy without losing control, and transitions between rooms maintain spatial intent with tonal consistency. By integrating sound design from the outset, the project demonstrates a system approach where distributed audio, control infrastructure, and architectural integration operate as a single framework across a multi-room experiential environment.
