In today’s business world, leaders need to be coaches. Employees want to develop and learn from their leader: they do not want a boss. Employees are looking for opportunities in which they can grow and reach their potential. Create a culture in which employees will thrive and constantly evaluate their needs and wants. The era of “I’m the boss” is coming to an end. Incentivization structures need to be fair, equitable, and openly/candidly laid out. Of course, there are hybrids and different roles have different specialties. These people with more than one skill set tend to be more expensive and they are worth it. They are doing multiple jobs of multiple people.
