But let’s be real – that era is over. The conversation around wellbeing at work has shifted dramatically. It’s no longer about fancy office perks or reactive stress management; it’s about building a fundamentally healthier, more sustainable way to work, whether you're battling the commute or the lure of your living room sofa.

To make this sustainable shift, we need to move beyond guesswork. By implementing daily wellbeing tracking and mapping it against productivity data, leaders can finally see the “why” behind the “what.” This data-driven empathy allows us to identify burnout before it happens and understand how our mental state directly influences our output. Trackabi supports Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using time-based one-time passwords (TOTP), and we strongly recommend enabling it—especially for managers and team leads who have access to other users’ data.

Not familiar with 2FA?
2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account. In addition to your password, you’ll be asked for a one-time code generated by an authenticator app on your phone. Even if someone gets your password, they won’t be able to log in without that second factor.

In case you have technical curiosity:
TOTP (Time-Based One-Time Password) generates short-lived codes based on a shared secret and the current time. Your authenticator app creates a new code every 30 seconds, and each code can be used only once. Because the code constantly changes and is never reused, it’s extremely difficult for attackers to intercept or guess.

Why enable 2FA?

✅ Reduced risk from stolen or reused passwords
✅ Extra peace of mind when managing sensitive team data

The web timer is simple and convenient, ideal for quick time tracking, but it doesn’t support activity monitoring. For more advanced functionality, the desktop application includes features such as productivity analysis, activity scoring, screenshot capture, and idle detection. Users can view detailed timelines, analyze productivity based on application usage, adjust inactivity settings, and manually log or edit time—if permitted by account settings. The app also offers daily statistics, including total time logged, earnings, activity scores, and application usage breakdowns. Managers can access deeper insights through the Insights section of the web interface.

We’ve released a new version of the desktop app that now supports automatic tracking during online meetings. The app can detect when you’re on a call and will prevent the timer from pausing due to inactivity.

So yes — technically, you can even take a nap during a call, and the timer will keep running.
Just remember: screenshots are still being taken. 😄

You can also configure the app to ignore inactivity while using specific applications relevant to your work. For example, some of our users mentioned that their job involves watching YouTube without typing or moving the mouse (lucky them!). In such cases, you can allow the timer to keep running while YouTube is in use.

To add specific applications:
1. For all users: go to Settings > Productivity > Productivity Rules
For specific roles: go to Roles > Productivity Rules
2. Create a new productivity rule with:
• Application Type set to: Productive (ignore inactivity)
• Application Name Keyword: enter the relevant keyword (e.g., “YouTube”)

💡 You don’t need to configure anything for standard video call apps like Zoom, Webex, Google Meet, etc.—they’re already supported automatically.
