🔜 SK hynix Accelerates U.S. IPO as AI Memory Demand Continues to Surge
Global memory semiconductor leader SK hynix is moving closer to its U.S. ADS listing, with the company expected to begin trading on Nasdaq Global Select Market on July 10.
According to its latest SEC filing, SK hynix plans to issue approximately 177.9 million ADSs at a reference price of $158.14 per ADS, targeting a market capitalization of around $115.5 billion. The proceeds will focus on advanced manufacturing capacity and EUV lithography equipment to support future technology development.
At the center of SK hynix’s growth strategy is its leadership in HBM (High Bandwidth Memory), a critical technology powering the AI infrastructure boom. The company is expanding beyond traditional memory products toward system-level AI memory solutions, including customized HBM, CXL-based memory solutions, PIM technology, and next-generation NAND architectures.
SK hynix is also accelerating global capacity expansion, including advanced packaging and next-generation semiconductor facilities. These investments are closely tied to growing demand from AI chip companies and cloud service providers.
As AI reshapes the semiconductor landscape, SK hynix’s IPO highlights the increasing strategic importance of memory technologies in the global AI infrastructure ecosystem.
