Wanted to give a plug to an amazing dog and dog trainer, David Saunders at Brandywine Dog Academy. My wife and I, our son and his finance were visiting the Brandywine Famers Market this past Sunday when we met David and his Belgian/Dutch Shepherd, Sasha. To say we were impressed by his training skills and Sasha's obedience, is an understatement! Wow, what a well trained pup she is! I asked David it could take a few photos and put Sasha on canvas, here is the final result, along with the original photos.

David and Sasha, thank you for taking the time to speak with us and to allow me to send these hand brushed, digital oil portraits to you! God Speed in all your training adventures. We hope someday to get our boy, Tuck, up to see you!

A sincere thank you to Terrence — a dedicated firefighter with the Wilmington Fire Department, Deputy Chief of the Goodwill Fire Company, and long-time member of the Lewes Fire Company — for trusting me to capture such a meaningful moment. Your service and commitment to the community make this piece that much more special to me.

This portrait is 100% hand-brushed using a digital painting process — every stroke crafted with intention and detail. No AI was used in the creation of this artwork. Terrence provided me with the original reference photos, including their two amazing pups, Sherman and Rod (not in the original photo) and I took it from there.

I'm honored to present this custom, 16x20, 100% hand brushed oil portrait to Past Chief Chip Thompson – Citizens' Hose Company No. 1 Inc. of Smyrna, DE. Chip and I are life long friends, joining the fire service the very same year.

Chief Thompson’s career is nothing short of remarkable. Beginning his fire service journey in 1987, he has served with Elsmere, Claymont, Goodwill, Aetna, and Citizens Hose Company of Smyrna—rising through the ranks from Lieutenant and Captain to Assistant Chief and Chief. A life member of Aetna since 1992, he also served as one of the first full-time firefighters at the Wilmington Airport and currently serves as Assistant Chief at the Delaware City Refinery Fire Department. He is also an instructor at the Delaware State Fire School, helping train the next generation of firefighters.

Beyond the fire service, Chip is a 20+ year Army/National Guard veteran, serving as an Infantry Medic, Flight Medic, and Intelligence Analyst. He piloted OH-58 Scout helicopters and UH-1 Medevac aircraft with over 1,000 flight hours, completing more than 75 real-world rescue missions—many under night vision and extreme conditions. His military career includes service in Operations Noble Eagle and Enduring Freedom, teaching at West Point, supporting special operations aviation, and even flying Medevac support during the 2009 Presidential Inauguration. Additionally, Chip spent 5 years as an Intelligence Analyst in Counter-drug Operations assigned to the New Castle County Police Criminal Investigation Unit

A true leader both in uniform and in the air, Chief Thompson’s dedication, skill, and service to others are second to none.

It was an absolute honor to capture his legacy in this piece.

I had the privilege of creating this custom oil-style portrait to commemorate the promotion of Kevin Cowperthwait to Career Fire Chief of Christiana Fire Company.

A sincere thank you to Christiana Fire Company and Deputy Chief John “Jack” McPartland for commissioning me to capture Chief Cowperthwait in this portrait honoring his appointment and service.

The portrait was presented to Chief Cowperthwait during Christiana’s Awards Ceremony on March 14th, marking a very special moment for the department and its leadership.

🐾 In Loving Memory of Willie Nelson 🌈

Today we remember Willie Nelson, the faithful and beloved companion of my good friends James Farley and Heather Hudson Farley.

On February 28th, Willie Nelson peacefully crossed over the rainbow bridge and is young again. For 13 wonderful years, he filled his family’s lives with loyalty, love, and joy.

Willie loved his walks, playing ball, and of course he loved his mealtime! He was a devoted protector to his mom and enjoyed his morning car rides to Dunkin’ to get her coffee. At home, he proudly served as James’ loyal “sous chef,” always nearby in the kitchen or by him during a BBQ 🍖 .

Willie Nelson lived a beautiful life and will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

Thank you James and Heather for allowing me capture your boy in oil, it was a true honor. Run free, sweet boy. 🐾🌈❤️.

Over the past few days, I've had the honor of creating a tribute portrait for Corporal Grade One Matthew “Ty” Snook of the Delaware State Police — a true hero who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on December 23, 2025.

Ty served with courage, dedication, and integrity over 10 years with the Delaware State Police, always putting others before himself.  He was more than a trooper — a devoted husband and loving father to his young daughter, a son, a friend, and a protector of our community. The legacy he leaves behind is one of unwavering commitment, kindness, and true heroism. 

May this hand brushed portrait and our memories honor his spirit, and may we never forget the sacrifice he made for all of us. ❤️🚔

Rest in peace, Ty — fallen but never forgotten.
