I STRONGLY advise against using PayPal. I found a $275 charge to my account which I disputed as fraud. My dispute was denied. The charge was made to “Oleksandr Vdovenko“ who I never heard of. I did a search of the name and it seems to be a developer in Ukraine. I asked what I supposedly bought from this person even though I knew that I didn’t purchase anything, and PayPal wouldn’t answer the question. Today, I tried appealing the decision on their website and after about an hour of fighting with AI chat and getting sent from on page to another, I was able to have it give me a phone number and an authorization code for a call. I explained the whole situation to one customer disservice representative, who transferred me to another, who transferred me to another. After 48 minutes on the phone, they are giving the “seller” 10 days to provide proof that they sent me something. Then, if the seller doesn’t respond, they will refund my money in another 7-10 days. I MIGHT see a refund in mid October.

I'm a self-employed tech with 30 years of experience supporting small businesses. When I set up a PC, I always use Windows Pro, and during the setup process I select other sign in options>domain join which then allows you to create a local account. Most of my customers don't even have a domain. Once set up, I do synch Edge with their Microsoft Business account, configure OneDrive Business, and drag all their data folders (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Photos, etc. to the OneDrive, then set at least the desktop to "always keep on this device." Then if you have a desktop and laptop, everything is always available to both. Also, if your drive fails or your laptop is stolen, all of those files are not lost. I also provide a cloud-to-cloud backup service for OneDrive so in the event of ransomware, which could encrypt the synched OneDrive (OneDrive is NOT a backup), everything can be restored without paying the ransom. All of the above is available to home users, with the possible exception of the backup.
