Can You Tell the Difference?
There’s more to terminating a network cable than just putting wires into a connector! Today, our Cybersecurity students put their networking knowledge and hands-on skills to the test by terminating their own cables.

Here’s a challenge for you: Can you tell the difference between the T568A and T568B wiring patterns?

If you know, you know.

Our students stepped up to the challenge today and NAILED it! There’s nothing quite like hands-on learning to turn classroom knowledge into real-world skills.

Check out the photos of our students putting their skills to work!

Help Us Pack the Pantry!
Last year, Mid-Del Technology Center launched our student pantry, and our community showed up in a big way!

Since then, we’ve supported 60+ students and families, and our amazing CareerTech Student Organization (CTSO) students have donated more than 3,000 food items.

This year, we’re expanding the pantry and looking for businesses, organizations, community partners, and individuals to help keep the shelves stocked.

Every donation makes a difference and gives our students one less thing to worry about while they focus on their education and future.

Interested in becoming a sponsor?
Contact Cindy Counts, 405.739.1707 ext. 6355 or [email protected] to learn more about sponsorship opportunities and how you can make an impact in the lives of our students and families.

Our second-year Health Careers students stepped into the role of teacher during their latest hands-on learning experience!

Each student selected an emergency situation, taught their peers the proper medical response, and created an activity to reinforce the lesson.

Topics included choking, gunshot wounds, CPR, overdose response, and stroke awareness.

By teaching others, these students strengthened their own knowledge, confidence, and skills while preparing to be Built for What’s Next.

Two MDTC voices. Two great conversations. One exciting week.

Visit middeltech.com/whatsup to find both conversations!

Assistant Superintendent, Becki Foster made an appearance on the Mid-Del Schools Podcast, joining Dr. Cobb and Stacey Boyer on “Off the Record” to talk about what's happening at Mid-Del Tech, the incredible people who make it all possible, and a BIG project currently in the works.

There’s just one problem… This project could very well get her FIRED!

Check out what Foster has to say, get a behind-the-scenes look at what’s happening at Mid-Del Tech, and find out why you’ll want to know what’s coming next.

But Foster wasn’t the only one making an appearance on YouTube this week.

Our Plumbing Instructor, Scott Ringwald, joined the team at Locke Supply to talk about how the industry has evolved, the growing demand for a skilled workforce, and how Mid-Del Technology Center is doing its part to help fill the gap.

This is the first in what looks to be an incredible new series from Locke Supply and The Core Contractor Show, and we’re excited to see where it goes.

Partnerships like those with Locke Supply and with Mid-Del Schools are a vital part of preparing students for what’s next. We are grateful to be part of such a team that is committed to investing in students and preparing them to be Built For What’s Next!

This is what being Built for What’s Next looks like: gaining skills, putting them to work, and creating a path toward a successful career.

Congratulations, Cole! We’re proud to see you putting your skills to work and building what’s next!

Thank you Nicrocraft for partnering in the success of MDTC students!

Congratulations 🎉 to Cole Childers at on his promotion!

Cole joined the team in January 2025 as an Exhaust Shop Tech. He was promoted to a Weld position in Exhaust on June.

He shared, “I was hired on with Wall Colmonoy while enrolled in the Welding program at Mid-Del Technology Center. I’m thankful that I was able to cross train and continue to develop my welding skills while working and am now in a welding position!”

Today, our Health Careers students welcomed Andrea LaFleur, Director of Forensic Exams with ywca_okc, for a conversation about forensic nursing.

For patients who have experienced trauma, healthcare professionals often provide more than an exam. They could be among the first people to offer care, support, and a safe place during a difficult moment.

Understanding the responsibility, compassion, and skill required in those moments is an important part of preparing our students to be Built for What’s Next.

Thank you, Andrea and YWCA OKC, for investing in our students and sharing your experience with the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Flight Test Day 1!
Every great flight starts with learning, and for our Aviation Careers students, it starts with the willingness to design, build, test, break, and start over.

Yesterday, our students put their very first build projects to the test. And while not every project took flight exactly as planned, that’s where the real learning happens.

Aviation is about problem-solving. It’s about understanding why something didn’t work, making adjustments, testing again, and refusing to stop until you get it right.

And in the words of aviation legend Mike Patey:
“Machine it, draft it, build it, test it, break it. Every time something new gets built, the entire world advances.”

That mindset is exactly what we want our students to embrace. Design. Build. Test. Break. Start over.

Because every failure teaches us something. Every adjustment makes us better. And every new build gets us one step closer to something that soars.

Yesterday was just Day 1. By the end of this project, these Warhawks will soar!

And just like that… our students are getting to work!

A huge thank you to McConnell's Wrecker Service for generously donating their time to deliver project vehicles to our Collision Repair Technology program.

Donnie and Louis gave a portion of their day to make sure our students had the hands-on resources they need. Judging by the photo, our students didn’t waste any time putting those resources to work!

These project vehicles give our students the opportunity to tear in, troubleshoot, practice their skills, and gain the real-world experience that prepares them for success in the collision repair industry.

We’re grateful to Donnie, Louis, and the entire McConnell’s Wrecker Service team for investing their time, resources, and support in our students.

Your partnership helps our students get hands-on today so they can be built for what’s next.
