2025 Ford Raptor — Part One

This is only the beginning of what will eventually become a much larger build.

For the first stage, we integrated a customer-supplied JL Audio ported enclosure loaded with two 12-inch subwoofers into the Raptor’s factory audio system. The installation uses a vehicle-specific solution from Sounds Good Stereo, including the amplifier rack, KICKER KEY integration, and the interface needed to properly connect everything to Ford’s factory system.

Power currently comes from a 2,000-watt Focal monoblock amplifier. The amplifier is capable of producing considerably more power than the current subwoofers require, so the gain structure, crossovers, and output were carefully tuned to keep everything operating safely and cleanly.

Everything came together beautifully, and the customer was extremely happy with the result. This is only part one, and I cannot wait to continue developing this Raptor with more upgrades in the future.

2000 Honda Civic in the shop for a little audio upgrade.

The owner is an older gentleman who absolutely loves his music and likes to listen to it loud. His old speakers were pretty tired, so we replaced them with a set of Focal Access component speakers up front.

We mounted the Focal tweeters into the factory sail panels to keep everything looking clean, and added SoundShield treatment while everything was apart.

The car already has a 5-channel amp and a ported Kicker sub in the back, so these new Focals really helped bring the front of the system back to life.

Nothing over the top — just a solid upgrade for someone who really enjoys his music.

There's no shortage of shops that can install a dash camera.

The installation is important, and I take a lot of pride in doing it the right way. But to me, that's only part of the job.

Your vehicle is more than transportation. It's where you start your day, unwind after work, take road trips with your family, and spend hours every week. It's an extension of your home, and I believe it should be treated that way.

Before this 2025 Porsche Macan leaves my shop with its new dash camera, it gets more than a professional installation. Every surface I touched gets wiped down. The interior is cleaned. The fingerprints disappear. The vehicle is left looking and smelling fresh because I want every customer to get back into their car and immediately notice the difference.

Those little details don't appear on an invoice, and they aren't something I charge extra for. They're simply how I believe every customer should be treated.

Anyone can sell products. I want to deliver an experience that makes you feel like your vehicle was genuinely cared for while it was here.

I'm hoping to find someone who can help me learn Fusion 360 for designing car audio speaker adapters.

Being a one-man shop, finding uninterrupted time to learn something this involved has been really difficult. Every time I sit down to work on it, the phone rings, a customer walks in, or something comes up that needs my attention. By the time I get back to it, I've lost where I was.

I've watched a lot of YouTube videos, but most of what I've found only shows how to make basic speaker rings. What I'm really trying to learn is how to design complete vehicle-specific adapters that mount to the factory door and also have the correct mounting pattern for the new speaker. That's the part I've had a hard time finding good step-by-step instruction on.

I'm someone who learns a lot better by working with another person than by trying to piece together hours of videos. I'd much rather pay someone for a few hours of their time to walk me through the process and explain why they're doing each step than spend weeks trying to figure it out on my own.

If you have experience designing speaker adapters in Fusion 360, or know someone who does, I'd love to connect. I'm happy to pay for your time, whether it's in person or over Zoom, Discord, or another screen-sharing platform.

I'm not looking for someone to make the parts for me—I genuinely want to learn the process so I can design my own adapters for future installs.

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for some recommendations for a reputable shop in or around Milford, CT that is familiar with Subaru 6-speed transmissions.
Unfortunately, the shop that originally did my clutch about six months ago has completely stopped responding to my emails and phone calls, so at this point I'm looking for someone else to help me get my car back on the road.
The car is a 2017 Subaru STI with the OEM 6-speed transmission. The transmission bellhousing cracked after what multiple independent mechanics believe was caused by the clutch fork pivot pin retaining hardware being left out during the previous clutch installation. At this point, I'm not looking to debate what happened—I just need to get the car fixed.
The car is 100% assembled and drivable onto a lift. I'm not bringing someone a pile of parts. I'm looking for a shop that can:
Remove the transmission.
Replace the damaged bellhousing with a replacement housing.
Reassemble everything correctly.
Verify that all of the clutch fork pivot components and retaining hardware are installed properly.
From what I've found, replacement bellhousings are around $500, but I'd like to get a quote on the labor to complete the job as well.
I also own Sound Shift Audio in Milford. I specialize in car audio, remote starters, radar systems, dash cameras, and aftermarket electronics. If another shop is interested in trading work instead of doing everything for cash, I'm absolutely open to that as well.

Been doing quite a few Hamilton Motor Company upgrades lately, so I figured I'd share a few pictures.

One thing I hear all the time is, "My car is only a few years old... why doesn't it have Apple CarPlay?" Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru had quite a few years where the vehicles were great, but the infotainment systems definitely didn't keep up.

That's one of the reasons I became a Hamilton dealer. Their kits let me add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while keeping everything looking clean and factory. Depending on the vehicle, we can either integrate it into the factory system or replace the screen with a vehicle-specific setup that looks like it belongs there.
