⚠️ Repair Horror Story... Fixed the Right Way! 🎮🔧
This PlayStation 5 came to us after another repair company—a large national chain—attempted to fix a ripped fan connector.
Unfortunately, instead of performing a proper board-level repair, they SUPERGLUED the fan connector back onto the motherboard and told the customer the console wasn't repairable and still didn't work.
The customer gave us a call and asked if we could save it. Our answer? Absolutely.
✅ Carefully removed the superglued connector
✅ Cleaned the board and removed all adhesive residue
✅ Rebuilt the damaged solder pads and traces
✅ Properly soldered the fan connector back into place
✅ Fully tested the console
Result? The PS5 is back up and running exactly as it should! 🎉
This is a great example of why board-level repairs require the right tools, experience, and techniques. Superglue is not a repair method for damaged PCB connections—it only makes the job more difficult and can increase the risk of further damage.
We're always happy to help when others say it can't be fixed.
