Wi-Fi says “connected,” but nothing loads? Try this simple check before changing settings.

Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi and temporarily turn off mobile data. Try two familiar websites on both devices.

If neither can browse, the issue may be with the network or internet service. If only the PC fails, you’ve narrowed down where to look. Turn mobile data back on after the test.

A loud “virus warning” in your browser is not proof your PC is infected.

If a page tells you to call a support number or pay immediately, do not click its buttons, install software or allow remote access. Try closing the browser with Alt + F4. Open Windows Security independently from Start to check the PC.
