AI can do a lot these days, but it still can't do everything, especially when it comes to your logo!
We've had a few businesses come to us lately with an AI-generated logo they love, only to hit a wall when their print vendor asks for a vector file.

Here's the deal: AI-generated graphics are raster images (built from pixels), which means they get blurry when enlarged. Great for a quick concept, not so great when you need that logo on signage, apparel, or a giant trade show banner.

A professionally designed vector logo, on the other hand, is fully flexible. Colors, type, layout, all editable, all scalable, no limits.

Our advice? Use AI to get the ball rolling! It's a fantastic way to communicate your vision. Then bring in a designer to turn that idea into a complete, flexible logo system built to work everywhere your business needs it to.

Boy do we miss getting together in person!

We had a visit from the marketing pros at Vicinity Energy and the brilliant team at Brunello Inc. for an all-hands branding session.

We hashed out everything from 10-point body copy color to next year's overall brand direction.

Thank you, Melissa, for carving out the time for all of us to get together. It was so fun to gather with a group who loves what they do!

Well, as designers, we don't love numbers. But we always look forward to doing the math on these.

The Q2 stats are in! Our stream of caffeine intake and creative output continues to exceed expectations.

With the Knicks putting New York back in the spotlight, here's a fun branding fact:

The iconic I ♥ NY logo was created in 1977 as part of a campaign to boost tourism and improve New York's image.

At the time, renowned graphic designer Milton Glaser thought it would be a short-lived campaign, so he offered to create the logo pro bono. He famously sketched the idea on a paper napkin during a taxi ride through the city.

Nearly 50 years later, what was intended to be a temporary campaign has become one of the world's most recognizable symbols.

Makes you wonder how many great ideas can be traced back to a napkin!

Shout out to CYCLEBAR! Jennie and Emma have been jumping out of their office chairs and onto bikes, and it’s quickly become our favorite escape! Amazing energy, incredible instructors, and a workout that keeps us sweating long after class is over. Needless to say, it’s been GREAT for the creative juices!

Q1: Creative & Not As Caffeinated

Another quarter down, and numbers have been crunched.

Diet Coke intake is officially down. Upon further research, it has been determined this was a result of Jennie limiting herself to just one per day. Surprisingly, productivity has remained high despite the reduction.

Cake Shop Cafe remains our go-to for coffee. The fact that it’s right next door doesn’t hurt.

Oh yeah, we had a record breaking number of jobs opened!
