The Brandworth Agency is known as a go-to for rebrands. But not every successful professional services company needs a new name, a new logo or a complete visual overhaul.

Last week, I met with the leadership team of an established architecture firm with a strong reputation, an impressive portfolio and 15 talented people who care deeply about the company’s success. Their challenge is not that the firm is broken. It is that the story of who they are, what makes them different and where they want to go is not yet clear enough for everyone to tell it consistently.

I shared the image of a rowboat drifting offshore. One well-intentioned person begins pulling it toward the pier. Another sees the same boat and starts pulling it toward the beach. Then someone from the Coast Guard arrives and tries to tow it in another direction. Everyone is working hard. Everyone believes they are helping. But the boat goes nowhere because no one has agreed on the destination.

That is what can happen inside a growing company. Fifteen smart people write proposals, meet prospective clients, update project descriptions, create presentations and represent the firm in the community. Their efforts are sincere, but without a shared story and plan, the brand begins to drift. The website says one thing, a brochure says another, a case study tells a different story, and the proposal introduces yet another version. You get my drift. 🚣

My role is to help the firm clarify its destination. Who is the client it most wants to serve? What problem is that client trying to solve? How does the firm uniquely guide the client through it? What is the plan, and what better outcome becomes possible because this particular team is involved?

From there, I can create a practical kit of parts the entire team can use and fall back on: strategic brand positioning to guide the firm for the next five to ten years; mission, vision and values; core messaging; referral language; project case-study frameworks; proposal and RFQ templates; presentation tools; website updates; social content structures; and other repeatable assets.

Instead of asking, “What should we say this time?” everyone has a clear starting point—while still having the flexibility to respond to the particular project, client or audience in front of them.

Sometimes the answer is a rebrand. Sometimes it is simply clarity: a shared destination, a compelling story and the tools to help everyone row in the same direction.

One of the things I love about ProVisors is that building relationships doesn’t have to look just one way.

Last week included:
🍸 Milton After Hours Social — a casual waterfront social with my Milton group
👩‍💼 Women’s Affinity Group — 40 or so women connecting in an in person meeting and then going out to socialize.
🎶 And Friday night, a joint concert outing with Amy Lipman-White’s Norwell group — because sometimes the best networking happens when you’re simply out having fun together.

Breakfast meetings. One-to-ones. Affinity groups. Cocktails. Concerts. There really is no wrong way to build relationships. Especially as a new Group Leader, I’m excited about creating more opportunities for people to connect beyond the monthly meeting. 🙌

Yesterday I spoke to ProVisors Glendale 1 about something I’ve been taking coast to coast: The Power of the One Pager. Huge thanks to Group Leader Adam Walker for having me — and a shoutout to Heather Poole, quite possibly the best testimonial giver EVER. 🙌

But here’s the thing: this isn’t really about a PDF. It’s about BRAND POSITIONING.
When there are dozens (or hundreds!) of people with your same title and credentials, how do you de-commodify yourself? How do you make it clear why YOU?
⛰️ What do you really do?
⛰️ Who is your ideal client?
⛰️ What makes your approach different?
⛰️ What should people listen for to know someone needs you?
⛰️ Can someone easily explain why they should introduce you?

This is the same strategic challenge I tackle with my clients, whether I’m positioning a solopreneur or a $3M, $30M or $300M company. The scale changes.
The question doesn’t: How do we create a space in the market that YOU can own?

💡 The One Pager is simply a tool for getting there.
Your marketing shouldn’t make people ask, “What exactly do they do?” It should make them say, “I know exactly who needs to meet this person.”

Want me to bring The Power of the One Pager to your group or team? DM me or book a quick 1:1 through the link in my bio.

Most agencies start with design.

We don't.

At Brandworth, strategy comes first — because the best brands aren't designed. They're discovered.

Swipe through our strategy-first process → six steps before design ever begins: discovery, independent research, a live strategy workshop, a written strategic foundation, and an approved creative brief.

Nothing creative happens until everyone agrees on strategy.

Save this for your next rebrand.

You can't lead marketing for a place like this from a laptop — you have to go through customs with the campers, sit in the staff meetings, and watch the work happen.

////

I made the same trip our campers make — flights, customs, an hour-long ferry — before spending a week in Tortola planning next year's marketing with the Sail Caribbean team.

Long days in strategy sessions. Even longer days watching what that strategy is actually for: kids snorkeling reefs, hiking Salt Island, learning marine science on the beach, staring up at more stars than I've seen in years.

Wrote up the full trip here (https://thebrandworthagency.com/2026/07/28/fractional-cmo-sail-caribbean-bvi-visit) — what it actually looks like to lead marketing for a place like this from the inside, not just a dashboard.

Yesterday marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for one of my clients, Sail Caribbean , as they officially kicked off with their new digital marketing partner!

One of the things I enjoy most about providing Fractional CMO services through The Brandworth Agency is knowing when to build the strategy internally and when it’s time to bring in specialized experts. Sometimes the best solution is assembling the right team around the client, and that’s exactly what we’ve done here.

Over the past several months, I led a comprehensive agency search, evaluated proposals from leading firms across the country, interviewed finalists, developed a weighted scorecard, and helped Caribbean select the partner best positioned to support their next phase of growth. The result is a team with the expertise to strengthen enrollment marketing while allowing Sail Caribbean to stay focused on delivering life-changing experiences for its teens at summer camp.

Congratulations to the entire Sail Caribbean team and their new strategic partner sperling. on a fantastic kickoff. I’m looking forward to traveling to the BVI / Tortola next week to see the operation firsthand, spend time with the team, and continue helping align marketing strategy with the organization’s goals.

Here’s to smooth sailing and an exciting season ahead! 🌊⚓

Most founders know their revenue.

Almost none know what their brand is worth.
That gap is expensive. 👇
Swipe to see why your brand is probably your most undervalued business asset — and what it could mean for your exit.
Brand equity can account for 20–30% of total deal value in an acquisition. Most founders never capture it.
Not because their brand isn't strong.

Because it was never made legible to a buyer.

TGIF! It's been a busy year y'all and I am proud to say I just wrapped up a pretty consuming project. The owners came to me at the end of January and we had to have a new brand up and running by March 1. (oh, and they had a birthday vacation to Mexico, and I had a 2 week "vacation" to Portugal in the mix!)

When Sam and Nina decided to leave their restaurant franchise and build their own brand, they faced a tough question: How do you preserve what customers already love while creating something entirely new?

The product was perfect. The ex*****on was flawless. The loyalty was real.
What was missing? A story that was theirs.

So we didn't start with a logo. We started with strategy.
We asked: What truly differentiates this business? What are they really competing on? Why do customers keep coming back?

The answer wasn't pizza. It was discipline. Craft. Speed. Thoughtful design. Genuine hospitality. Consistency across every touchpoint.

That insight became the foundation for CeCarré Pizza & Provisions; a rebrand that did more than change the name. It clarified the entire future of the business.

The owners said it best: "We needed someone to help us figure out who we were becoming."

And while you are at it! Head to Boston's Prudential and try some of their delish fare!

Here is the project case study on our site:
https://thebrandworthagency.com/2026/06/08/cecarre-pizza-and-provisions-rebramd/

At its heart, CeCarré is built around a simple idea: gathering. Not a place on a map, but a place in a moment. The place where strangers become regulars. Where office lunches become traditions. Where a quick slice becomes part of someone's routine. The strategy drew inspiration from the structure a...
