A big thank you to Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts for inviting me to share my creative process with the O.W.L. (Older.Wiser.Local) 🦉 group today!

It was a lot of fun showing my personal and client artwork on my new website with everyone www.isaiah-m-brown.com and some of my music as well.

It was a nice new experience to talk about the planning to final design phases of my different Graphic Design, Illustration, 2D Animation, and Singing/Songwriting projects. The different questions and perspectives from the O.W.L. group were wonderfully engaging.

Thank you Amy Schmutte for the family invitation and for your hospitality! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 😁

I decided to update my portfolio & music website ✨

I really loved the version I made last year, but as I’ve grown creatively, I started noticing that parts of the layout and navigation didn’t fully reflect where I’m at now. It felt a little busy, and some of my projects didn’t have as much room to breathe as I wanted.

So I rebuilt it using a Wix Studio template and reshaped the experience into something more museum-esque and editorial, while still maintaining that Isaiah charm.

The new version feels more minimal, refined, and aligned with my current creative vibe. The visual art and music sections feel distinct, yet still part of the same creative world. Each project now has its own page within a more intuitive portfolio system, making everything feel more intentional and less scattered.

This process also reminded me that creative work doesn’t have to stay fixed. Sometimes you revisit, refine, and rebuild, and that’s part of the growth process.

Wow… it’s always so crazy to see this each year and reflect on my progress and growth as an artist. From my very first release, ‘Hummingbirds’ in 2022 to now, I’ve felt so supported and encouraged by all of you — my fans, fellow creatives, and everyone who’s shared kind words along the way 😄

‘Hummingbirds’ has remained a fan favorite, and I couldn’t be more grateful that these songs we’ve shared together continue to resonate. I can’t wait to hear what y’all think of ‘Drifted Away’ once it’s out! Your support means the world, and it keeps me inspired to keep creating, singing, and sharing my music 💛

I wrote the lyrics for this song back in 2022, and for while they lived in my phone. I wasn’t sure what style or genre would fit the poetic, allegorical approach. It wasn’t until I brought it to that we figured out the right direction to bring the song to life

This song is very near and dear to my heart and I hope you will feel the same!

✏️ Please stay on the lookout, I’ll be making a post with the cover art soon. I designed & illustrated something pretty cool (if I do say so myself)

I also put an unreleased song called "A Year Ago" that I don't really plan on officially releasing, but I knew it needed to be out there for y'all to hear. It's a Pop-R&B heartbreak ballad 💔

These demos are like the rough sketches before the polished studio versions of the songs. So, I was a little nervous to post these demos. I figured it might be cool to show some of the early stages tho!

It was a blast creating a new watermark logo for Designsbyhalfrican using her butterfly logo I designed! 🦋✍🏼 I’m so happy with how it looks on this wonderful flower photo 😁

What could make this beautiful Hellebores even more amazing? The wonderful watermark that my Son, Isaiah M. Brown created for me! 🦋 I look forward to placing my watermark on all my photography moving forward. Thank you Isaiah for doing such a fantastic job! 🫶🏽
