For years, the performance space at Elm Creative Arts had the creativity and talent, but the lighting system was holding the space back.

Avenue Systems partnered with Milwaukee Public Schools to update the theater with modern lighting, simplified controls, and technology students can confidently use and interact with. The upgraded system gives the school far more flexibility for performances, rehearsals, concerts, and everyday use.
Projects like this are about more than equipment upgrades - they’re about creating spaces that better support students, teachers, and the arts.

David is the Founder and CEO of Avenue Systems, launching the company in 2010 with a clear conviction: help people move from point A to point B with clarity, integrity, and excellence. More than a decade later, that vision has grown into a people-first AV design-build firm serving churches, schools, corporate spaces, and hospitality environments nationwide. While technology continues to evolve, larger displays, smarter control systems, cleaner audio, David’s focus remains unchanged: people.
He begins each day with intention, an energizing workout, a shot of espresso, and a commitment to lead his team with strength and purpose. With over fifteen years as a successful business owner, he’s known for building trusted relationships and delivering thoughtful, dependable solutions with a “no surprises” approach.
Outside the office, David stays active with his wife and four children. They love to travel, camp, and stay active with lots of outdoor activities. When he’s not working, his focus is spending quality time with those he loves most.

If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind the industry leading system designs that make Avenue’s projects so successful, meet Michael Jaspers—our design engineer and philosopher of sound. Michael lives in the space before the ink dries, designing and quoting systems on the design side so every solution is structured, smart, and scalable before installation even begins. With a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, advanced QSYS certifications, and years of hands-on industry training, he’s up for any AV design challenge.

He’s fluent in DSP and control programming, skilled in audio measurement and acoustical simulation, adept at advanced broadcast design… needless to say, he’s gifted at turning rough ideas into beautiful designs.

What motivates him most? The moment a client lights up when the final product exceeds expectations. Outside of work, Michael is a devoted husband of 21 years, proud dad of three, morning workout partner, church tech volunteer, and occasional guitar player. Precision and personality, he brings both to everything he does.
