Rel Acoustics offer a full line of sub woofers ( Bass extension ) that will take what ever 2 channel stereo system you have, at any level, and bring it to life in your room. It will bring that low end depth to whatever music you listen to. But it’s big party trick is it brings the soundstage 3 dimensionally into the room. When you remove the sub from the system it immediately recesses and sounds 2 dimensional in comparison. It’s something you have to hear to believe. There are few moments in audio that leave you in awe, truly speechless. Our time with the new Audio Research Ref 20 was one of those moments. It sounded alive, organic and in the room. It brought life to music I’ve heard many times before like I’d never heard before. It was a complete system changing piece. I can hear elements of this in their new LS-2 and LS-3 pre amps as well.
