Don’t trust Caller ID alone. Fraudsters are becoming more sophisticated and may use a tactic called spoofing to make it appear as though they’re calling from a legitimate City Bank phone number. These scams are designed to make you believe you’re speaking with a trusted source so you’ll share personal or financial information. Never provide your Secure Access Code, username, password, or PIN over the phone, and never click a link sent by an unsolicited caller. Don’t assume a call is legitimate just because City Bank appears on your Caller ID. If you’re ever unsure about a call, hang up and contact us directly at 800-687-2265 to verify the request.
