One of my favorite parts of this job is watching an idea become something people can wear with pride.

Every project starts with someone's vision. My job is to help turn that vision into something real.

The 2026 Falls City Pride shirts are finished, packed, and ready for the big day! 🌈

A huge thank you to Falls City Pride for trusting Robixy to produce this year's shirts. I can't wait to see them being worn all over Falls City on August 1! Shirts will be available at the Falls City Pride information booth during the event.

While you're there, stop by the Robixy booth too! I'll be creating shirts and tote bags on demand—you pick the design, the garment, the size, and the color, and I'll make it just for you.

There's nothing better than helping bring great ideas to life.

🎤 ASK THE SWAGSTRESS

I'm kicking off a new series where I answer your questions about promotional products, marketing, custom apparel, branding, and all things swag.

So let's start with this one:

Do promotional products actually work?

Of coarse they do — but only if you choose the right item for the right audience.

Nobody remembers the cheap pen that stopped working after two days. But a great t-shirt, water bottle, tote bag, or even a clever sticker can keep your business top of mind for months or years. And logo or message placement is really important.

Now it's your turn:

👉 What's the best promotional item you've ever received and actually used?

👉 What's the worst piece of swag you've ever gotten?

Drop your answers (and your questions for future episodes) in the comments. I may feature them in an upcoming Ask the Swagstress video!

I Asked AI to Draw Me. It Got Uncomfortably Close.

Apparently it thinks I'm a peacock-wrangling, T-shirt-designing, community-event-organizing, professional "cat herder" with strong opinions, too many projects, and a tendency to say yes when I should probably say no.

Honestly, it's a little unsettling how accurate it is.

The funny thing is that this image is also a good reminder that AI isn't magic—and it isn't evil. It's a tool.

It didn't create me. It created a reflection based on information, patterns, and ideas I provided.

Just like when AI helps me brainstorm marketing ideas, organize information, or work through a creative block, it's still my experience, judgment, relationships, and understanding of people that turn those ideas into something useful.

Most people already use AI every day without even thinking about it. It's in your phone, your maps, your TV and streaming services, your online shopping, and your bank.

As a marketer and small business owner, I see AI the same way I see any other tool: something that can help me work smarter and spend more time focused on the things that matter most. The businesses that learn how to use these tools thoughtfully will have an advantage—not because AI replaces people, but because it helps people do their best work.

And no matter how good the technology gets, it still can't sit across the table from a client and help them figure out what they really need. It can't build trust, support a local business, volunteer at a community event, or genuinely care about making Monmouth and Polk County the best they can be.

That's still our job.

And honestly, I think that's the best part.

(Although I am slightly concerned that it absolutely nailed the peacock part.)

So happy to be able to work with Sonny's Coffee & Plants making the labels for their dog treat. Such a wonderful local pet friendly hang out.
