We are slowly making our way back but kicking 2026 off with a bang.
Motherhood has been the most beautiful and humbling season of my life. Learning a new pace between naps, sleepless nights, and little moments in between — it’s been nothing but a learning curve. Proud of what this time has taught me & so excited for what is to come 🙌🏻

As some may know, I am slowly making my way back from maternity leave & I just wanted to share a fun local project I was able to submit a design to. Even though my design wasn't the final choice, I am so thankful & proud to be chosen as one of the final three.

There was an RFP to create a "Welcome to Aberdeen" sign for the Wishkah River Bridge. A sign most of us see daily. I was super excited with the possibilities and really, had too many ideas I knew what to do with. My final submission strays a bit from my original idea but I still am very happy with it. Overall my vision was to come up with something that can help show what Aberdeen could be, something that reminds us of the pride that used to be when one said “I’m from Aberdeen”. My interest and motivation for this project is more than a pretty design. My goal was to create something that reminds us of the possibility that Aberdeen holds, to motivate one another to raise the standard here, and give the future generations a chance to keep that standard high.

I remember the pride my grandma had when she talked about my grandpa and his role in the schools and the community. The Aberdeen they knew and loved is not the Aberdeen we see and know today. The Aberdeen that they remember was full of opportunity, reward, and safety among the neighborhoods.

Heres a very small glimpse of the process & my favorite of my final designs. Let me know what you think!

PS... if anyone knows of a blank building side... I think this has the potential to be a great mural.

Such a special piece in more ways than one: Capturing someone’s heart horse is always the most rewarding challenge, but also my last drawing with a baby in my belly.
Life looks a lot different right now but I am so excited to get back creating here soon.

Little Life (& therefore business) Update:
For those of you who may not know, we are welcoming our first baby at the end of this month & are beyond excited!
With that being said, I am working hard to finish all projects but will be closing commissions for the holidays & going on maternity leave as we navigate becoming parents and soaking up all the snugs from our lil man. ✨HOWEVER, I will still have all of my prints available as well as some new ones for purchase via my site or messaging me directly! ✨

How long will maternity leave last & what does this mean for future commissions, photography & graphic clients??
I am honestly not sure and to be completely raw, I have no idea. I hope to be back in full swing in a timely manner but that’s all relative as I figure out motherhood, all things that come with running your own business, and the balance between the two. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out & I’ll do my best to help out with recommendations if I’m still out.
