Here’s one of the coolest projects we got to work on this year! We went down to Aberdeen, South Dakota to restore this classic Montgomery Ward wall sign in August. It was almost completely gone, and had likely been painted over at some point, but we could see enough to paint it exactly as it had been done originally- some 80+ years ago.

👉 Swipe to see how it looked before being restored, as well as a reference photo we found. It’s an amazing thing to be a part of this building and city’s history! 🙏🙏

Housed on Historic 8th Street's Dakota Business College is the workspace of Upper Hand Signs, a two-person team dedicated to keeping the craft of traditional sign painting alive and well.
