One day at 6:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon a shop keeper looked out his window and saw a young boy siting on a bench with tears running down his face, looking at the kid's getting ice cream from the local ice cream man as he makes his last stop for the day.
The shop keeper goes out and gets 2 chocolate cones with sprinkles and hands one to the boy on the bench.
The shop keeper said: It's nice out to day ain't it,
the boy replied: yes it is sir.
25 years later in the same town around the same time of year on the same bench there sit a old man, holding on to his air tank just as sick as he could be, he was staring at the ice cream truck as it makes it's last stop for the day at the turn around next to the shop..
A new jaguar pulls up to the house he just bought 2 houses down from that bench. The engineer steps out and looks at the old man, then he walks to the ice cream truck and gets 2 chocolate cones with sprinkles and hands one to the old man. The old man gets the cone and takes a small bite and sighs with relief.
The engineer says: It's nice out to day ain't it.
The old man replied: yes it is sir and just set there, watching the sun set.
That night a old lady walks out to that bench like every Sunday and finds her husband dead with ice cream in his lap and peace like no other on his face.
she said: finally the boy came back.
