HEY THERE, IT'S BEEN A HOT MINUTE! 👋

I'm Kayla, the creative force behind Verosie Design Studio, and wow, has life changed since we last connected!

LIFE UPDATE:
- Welcomed two beautiful babies into the world 👧👦
- Navigated the wild, challenging, and incredibly sweet journey of motherhood
- Worked part-time in my studio while adjusting to mom life
- Now diving back into full-time creative work

WHAT'S NEW WITH VEROSIE:
- Reopening my books for new clients (yay!)
- Launching a fresh website early fall with killer copy from
- New offerings to take your visual identity from DIY to legit (more on this soon!)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

LOOKING AHEAD:
While I'm thrilled to be back in the Verosie office full-time, I'm also exploring opportunities to pivot back to the corporate world. I miss the energy and collaboration of working with a larger creative team, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me. Don't worry though – Verosie will still be here, ready to serve you!

Becoming a mom has given me a whole new perspective on how parents move through the world. It's breathed new life into my passion for design and strengthened my commitment to helping family-friendly and women-led brands, especially those run by fellow moms. Meet the newest addition to the Verosie Team, studio manager, Rosie Jude! 🎀 She may be small BUT she’s mighty and now completely dictates my schedule… LITERALLY.

You may be wondering and yes, her name is oh so similar to the studio’s name and that’s because they’re both derived from family members close to my heart, which makes them extra special. She joined the crew one month ago on May 29th and she already fits right in.

The studio will be closed until the end of July, BUT I will slowly be rolling back into things come August with some new client work I’m stoked to dive into! Until then, Rosie and I will be enjoying some quality snuggle time and sleepless nights together.

Yesterday we thought our baby girl was finally going to be joining us, but it turned out to be a false alarm and they sent us home from the hospital. But as I sat in that hospital bed, preparing myself to meet my baby girl, my very first little one, the horrific news story from the Texas school shooting popped up on my phone.

Throughout my pregnancy I’ve struggled with thoughts about the kind of world I’m bringing my baby girl into and as she’s on the brink of joining us Earthside we have seen multiple mass shootings added to America’s ever-growing list in the last two weeks. My heart aches for families that have been affected by every mass shooting that’s taken place in our country.

When will enough be enough? When will our leaders take real ACTION against gun violence in America instead of lining their pockets and trying to protect their own power?

I hope you will join me and countless others who are calling on our local and state representatives to FINALLY do something about the gun violence epidemic in America. Yes thoughts and prayers are great, but those NEED to be accompanied with policy and change.

As an elected official, it is your job to take bold action to prevent these senseless tragedies from happening. We cannot wait for another mass shooting. Please do the right thing and pass gun safety legislation. Thank you.

Happy Friday Friends! I thought it was due time for the heart behind Verosie to say hello and reintroduce myself. To kick things off, I’m Kayla and that’s me with my hubs and my bumpin’ belly up there.

For the last 8 months I’ve been growing my very first human and wow it has been a journey! When we FINALLY saw those two pink lines for the first time, I had no idea what I was in for during the upcoming months of pregnancy. I’ve had rough moments and it’s been a loooonnnnggg emotional ride getting to this point, BUT I know it will all be oh so worth it.

In 4 short weeks we will be welcoming our baby girl earth side and I’m insanely excited and terrified at the same time because I LEGIT have no idea how to be a mama. BUT I’ll be figuring it out along the way and can’t wait to share all the crazy and amazing moments with you!

I’ve been taking on less client work leading up to her arrival and will be taking maternity leave this summer to spend quality time with our baby girl as I transition into mama-hood. BUT I’ll still be showing up here and will also be sharing more BTS of life in general because I value connection with YOU, my people, and I want this space to be a place where we can be humans together.

I’m not currently taking on any new client work through July, BUT I do have project spots available in August and beyond, which is when I plan to slowly transition back into work mode. In the next couple weeks I will be sharing some new offerings Verosie will have for branding clients, so be on the lookout for those! And don’t forget the full Verosie website is still set to launch this summer 😆😆

New things are happening and I’m going to be “birthing” a lot in these next few months. Man I AM READY, are you!?? 💃🏼🎉

We highly value brand strategy and always dive into it first to establish a roadmap for your brand before even touching your visual identity. Part of brand strategy includes developing a color palette that is fitting and speaks for your brand, utilizing color psychology. Colors effect peoples perceptions, emotions and behaviors so you want a brand color palette that will resonate with your people and give them the right impression of your brand.
