One of our past attendees, Matthew German aka deerinheat, has gone missing and has been missing since July 18. If you're in the Central Michigan area, please keep an eye out for him - and if you see him or have knowledge of his whereabouts, let the authorities know.

Unfortunately, due to lack of interest and the resulting extreme financial pressure that we'd be put under, we've had to cancel the upcoming MegaLAN. If you paid for the event, you will receive a refund within 7-10 days of this posting back to the credit card that you paid with - if you've got special circumstances (i.e., you used a prepaid card or something like that), please email us directly - [email protected].

We've had a great time hosting events for you, and we've made a lot of friends! We're sorry that things had to go this way, but we'd much rather cancel the LAN than host an event that wouldn't be a lot of fun. Thanks for sticking with us through all these years!

Hey Everyone! Sorry about the message earlier regarding the potential cancellation of the next MegaLAN. The message you received was bouncing around a few of our admins, but when we discussed it at our last meeting we decided it was in bad taste and that it gave the wrong impression. We are still working as hard as possible to make this event a triumph!

To make it up to you we would like to offer some transparency into the discussion we had regarding event finances and the current risk factor of running the event. Most of the admins decided that we are a little behind where we should be at this point, but the history of our events tell us that we are on track to pulling this off:

That being said it really does help us out if you register as soon as you can as that means we can get warm fuzzies that the event will be paid for when its all said and done and that we can go buy more prizes!

Big Shot Gamers!

We've got some bad news: it's with a heavy heart that we must announce we're at risk of canceling upcoming event.

Unfortunately, as a completely independent LAN hosting group, we depend on our ticket sales to cover the costs of running our events. As you're probably well aware, venues are getting more expensive, and sponsorships are becoming more difficult to acquire. If we don't sell at least 100 more seats by March 31, we will be forced to cancel the event and refund all existing signups; we simply cannot afford to run the event without those sales.

If you (or someone you know!) were waiting to sign up, now's the time to grab your seat! We can still make this thing happen, but we need your help.

Awesome news everyone! Ronimo Games donated some licenses for their side-scrolling, Saturday-morning-cartoon-themed, awesome MOBA Awesomenauts! We will be giving them out at the LAN and will be hosting a free-play tournament for anyone interested (they gave us enough licenses to host a small tournament)!

Hey Big Shot Gamers!

If you are looking for a place to crash at any point during the event, the Super 8 just down the road from where we'll be has been kind enough to offer us a discount on rooms.

As of right now, we have 6 rooms on reserve until March 20. All you have to do is call, tell them you're with Big Shot Gaming, mention the CMU alumni discount, and you're in.

After the 20th, the discount will still be available, but rooms will be a first come, first serve basis. So, book now!

If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then we've got some great news for you: in addition to the cash prizes for the tournament, you're also going to get Riot Points if you're one of the top four teams!

That changes the prize pool as follows:

1st place: $50 per player, 3200 RP, Triumphant Ryze skin
2nd place: $20 per player, 2400 RP
3rd place: $10 per player, 1600 RP
