From concept to creation; is your stationer or graphic designer working closely with your planner so that your wedding day is cohesive from beginning to end? They should be. You can see from the first three slides how expertly Rachel + Chris’ wedding planner, Corrie Stephens Events, LLC, worked to make sure each thought became a detail and every detail created a perfect day in both concept and creation.

For their custom, letterpress save the dates we wanted it to feel like guests were getting a peek into what the day would hold. On the wedding day guests were greeted by a gorgeous drapery lined tent with string lights and a garden of greenery overhead from Wildly Rooted Floral Design. The newlyweds’ reactions say it perfectly, nailed it!

This time of year my feed is filled with bright, cheerful, summer colors when in real time I’m working on Fall and Winter suites with these rich, warm colors. I get the best of both worlds! It also made me realize I never posted Rachel + Chris’ wedding invitations or day of details so I’ll be oversharing this week, unapologetically.

When Corrie Stephens Events shared their vision for this suite, I was instantly excited to bring it to life. This color palette feels like *my* palette, so getting to play with these shades, layered patterns, and textures brought me actual joy. Add in my signature doodle-drawing style artwork, and Rachel + Chris’s suite felt like perfection with a cherry on top.

The design magic didn’t stop there. Corrie and Rachel planned the most beautiful day featuring the dreamiest florals from Wildly Rooted Floral Design, an intimate ceremony at The Sage, and the most romantic dinner reception at OvenBird.

First impressions matter, and this one felt like stepping straight into a secret garden. From the custom rough-edged linen welcome sign framed by lush garden flowers to the ceremony aisle lined with growing garden style arrangements, every detail was designed to feel soft, natural, and a lovely welcome to Spring.

Guests were welcomed through a floral archway before making their way down an aisle overflowing with movement, texture, and romance, highlighted by two overflowing urn arrangements that made the ceremony entrance feel unforgettable.

If you were to ask Mary Poppins, she would say their wedding day was practically perfect in every way…and you’d no argument here. Planning their wedding was absolutely a highlight of my year and their photos reflect the happiness and joy that radiated from them and everyone surrounding them. Celebrating you two is easy, congratulations and FULL GALLERY coming soon 🤍

Claire + Sims’ rehearsal dinner felt like stepping into the most beautiful backyard garden party dream. Their closest loved ones dined under a sailcloth tent which glowed at sunset, and every detail felt intentional, timeless, and deeply personal.

Each place setting featured mismatched vintage china from Tea & Old Roses, with every plate carefully selected to complement their color palette and bring even more charm to the evening. Guests found menus sealed with the couple’s custom monogram wax seal, choosing between roasted chicken or filet of beef before settling in for a night full of heartfelt toasts, laughter, and anticipation for the wedding day ahead!

Claire + Sims: The Rehearsal Dinner

Patterns and prints are so hot right now and one of my favorite ways to bring this in to a paper suite is by really leaning into what tablecloth choices the couple has made. Their welcome sign and seating chart are perfect examples.

The seating chart includes the embroidered pattern of Camille Lake from BBJ Linen while the welcome sign features one of my favorites, Ticking Slate (also from BBJ.) More to come of this beautiful weekend!

I’ve held onto Claire + Sims’ wedding gallery for a few days because honestly… where do you even begin when a weekend is that beautiful? So, let’s start where it all began for their guests: the wedding invitation suite.

Claire had my heart from the moment she wanted to include a watercolor of The Sonnet House on their Save the Dates, giving guests not only a first glimpse into the weekend, but a keepsake, too. From there, the suite came to life through a mix of inspiration photos, intentional details, and a shared desire to create something that felt entirely their own instead of following every wedding trend we’ve seen a hundred times before.

This is only the tiniest preview of one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever had the honor of planning and designing. I can’t even begin to put into words how much I loved working with these two and their ✨ incredible ✨ families, and I can’t wait to share more.

Dropped these wax seal stickers off yesterday for an invitation suite going out soon. This is just a reminder that I don’t have to design or print your full suite to offer custom trimmings 😉

10 wedding planning decisions we made for our wedding that we wouldn’t change for anything, periodt.
🤍
1. We got ready together, like we do often. This meant to official “first look” but each thing was a first look. Him seeing my hair and make up, then my dress, then jewelry, and shoes.
2. I wore gold sneakers - zero regrets.
3. Being a destination wedding we were able to make the celebration an entire weekend vs. the usual one or two evenings.
4. It started with a welcome party champagne sabering at , oysters at in the French Quarter, then riding the mechanical bull at on Bourbon Street. And yes, we shut it down at the gay bars 🌈
5. Our pre-wedding photos included us having pizza at FrenchQtr Daiquiris, cocktails at ’s Carousel Bar before catching a private trolley to the ceremony park.
6. Our ceremony spot at was $75. Read it again. $75.
7. An intinate wedding of less than 35 people meant everyone stood around us rather than the hassle of chair rentals for 15 minutes of service.
8. The private trolley meant everyone arrived together and on time (having 17 service industry pros as guests also helped.)
9. Dinner in the exquisite Rex Room was a unique and wonderful experience.
10. Our reception was a 2 hour ghost tour with to exclusive spots throughout the city. To this day it has been most guest’s favorite part of the weekend.
🤍
So what’s my bride to bride advice? Make your wedding day a reflection of you guys and I promise it will all be perfect!
