Celebrating 125 Years of Serving Our Community.

📺🏆 FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO A PREMIER SPORTS PRODUCTION NETWORK! 🏆📺

In 2009, Mulberry Telecommunications began filming local high school sporting events for playback on our Mintel TV service as a value-add service that you couldn't find from any of our competitors. We realized very quickly that not only was there a great demand, but a great opportunity for another division of our company. One year later, we became MTC Sports, expanding our coverage across Clinton and Tippecanoe Counties. As our coverage grew, so did our crew, equipment, and capabilities — eventually making the transition to LIVE broadcasts!

In 2016, MTC Sports officially became the ISC Sports Network, bringing on Greg Rakestraw to oversee operations. What started as a local initiative has grown into one of Indiana’s premier sports production companies, with a reach that extends far beyond our home state.

Today, our clients include USA Basketball, the Indianapolis Indians, the IHSAA, the Horizon League, Marian University, DePauw University, Taylor University, USL Women's Soccer, the Indianapolis AlleyCats, and many more!

From the legendary Monon Bell Game and the IHSAA State Finals to NBBA Beep Baseball, the Pete & Alice Dye Junior Invitational, First Indiana Robotics, the Hall of Fame Classic, and countless other events, our crews bring incredible stories, athletes, and competitions to life.

As a division of Mulberry Telecommunications, the ISC Sports Network operates as a stand-alone production company with three traveling production crews, remote production capabilities, and a network of production partners.

For 17 years, we've been proud to provide a platform for amateur and semi-professional athletes to showcase their talents, share their stories, and create unforgettable moments. Approximately 15 of those moments have been featured on Sportscenter's Top 10 Plays over the years.

From our humble beginnings to the incredible clients, events, and opportunities we’re blessed to be part of today, one thing has never changed: our commitment to the communities and athletes who made this journey possible.

💥 Gophers vs. Cougars: A Battle of 5-2 Powerhouses

Friday night, the ISC Sports Network brings you a showdown between two teams that have plenty to play for as the 5-2 Clinton Prairie Gophers take on the 5-2 Carroll Cougars.

Both teams enter the matchup 3-1 in conference play and riding impressive two-game winning streaks, setting the stage for what should be a physical and competitive conference battle.

For Clinton Prairie, the offense is led by senior quarterback Gaige Kuzmicz, who has been a dual-threat nightmare for opposing defenses. Kuzmicz has thrown for 798 yards and 7 touchdowns, while adding 311 rushing yards and 7 more touchdowns on the ground. His ability to make plays with both his arm and his legs gives the Gophers a balanced offensive attack that can put pressure on a defense in multiple ways.

On the other side, Carroll brings a hard-nosed ground game led by junior running back Jon Carey. Through seven games, Carey has racked up 657 rushing yards, averaging an impressive 7.9 yards per carry, while finding the end zone six times. The Cougars will look to establish the run early and use their physical style to control the line of scrimmage and the clock.

But this game could ultimately come down to defense.

Both Clinton Prairie and Carroll have been stingy defensively, allowing fewer than 15 points per game this season. Both teams have also recorded multiple shutouts, proving that neither offense is likely to have an easy night.

Will Clinton Prairie's balanced offensive attack find enough answers against the Carroll defense? Or will the Cougars' hard-nosed, ground-and-pound attack be too much for the Gophers' front seven?

There's only one way to find out.

🎉Celebrating 125 Years!!! Looking back at the past with our eyes on the future!!!

In 2005, we started what has become one of our favorite traditions — the Annual Mulberry Charity Golf Outing. Now, 21 years later, that tradition has made a tremendous impact on the communities we serve.

Over the years, the outing has helped us raise and give back more than $113,000 to local organizations and programs, including food banks, backpack programs, and other charitable causes.

The Mulberry Golf Outing has been a hit since day one and has become known as one of the premier telecommunications golf outings in the State of Indiana. From a day on the beautiful Deer Track Golf Course, to the crazy outfits, giveaways, door prizes, games, and plenty of laughs — the Mulberry Golf Outing truly is one of a kind!

2006 — A New Name. A Bigger Vision:
In 2006, we rebranded our name and vision, becoming Mulberry Telecommunications, while expanding our services to include television.

To help keep television affordable and competitive, we joined the National Cable & Technology Cooperative (NCTC). Adding television to our internet and telephone offerings allowed us to provide even more value and choices to our members.

From Copper to Fiber:
Following our 2003 investment in Indiana Fiber Network (IFN), Mulberry Telecommunications began building our own fiber optic network, laying the groundwork for what would eventually become a 100% fiber optic plant.

We built out our core fiber network, and in 2009, we delivered our first Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services.

Fast forward 17 years, and that vision has become a reality.

Today, Mulberry Telecommunications is 100% fiber optic. All copper lines and services have been retired, giving us a strong, modern network infrastructure built for today — and, more importantly, for the future.

From giving back to our communities, to expanding the services we provide, to completely transforming our network, the past 21 years have been about growth, innovation, and staying true to the members and communities we serve.

🎉Celebrating 125 Years!!
Building for Tomorrow: The Late ’90s & Early 2000s
The late 1990s and early 2000s were an exciting time at Mulberry Telecommunications. Business was booming, technology was changing rapidly, and we were investing in the future of our members and our communities.

By 1997, our telephone subscriber base had grown to more than 2,500 lines, reflecting the continued growth of the communities we proudly serve.

Then, in 1998, we took another major step forward with the creation of Mintel.net, and Mulberry began offering dial-up Internet service to our members. For many, this was their first connection to the rapidly expanding world of the Internet and Mulberry was there to help bring that technology home.

As we approached the Y2K era, another transformation was already underway: DSL Internet service was beginning to take shape. Faster, always-on Internet would soon become an important part of everyday life, and Mulberry was once again positioning itself to meet the changing needs of our members.

But Internet wasn't the only area where we were growing.
During this period, Mulberry launched our own long-distance telephone service and expanded our telecommunications footprint through CLEC operations in portions of Dayton that were outside our original ILEC territory. These investments allowed us to expand our services while continuing to build on the cooperative's strong telecommunications foundation.

And the growth continued. Telephone subscriber lines surpassed 3,000, marking another significant milestone for Mulberry.
Then, in 2003, another important investment was made when Mulberry invested in Indiana Fiber Network (IFN).

At the time, IFN was helping build a statewide fiber-optic telecommunications network, connecting communities, businesses, telecommunications providers, schools, healthcare organizations and other institutions across Indiana. The network provided high-capacity fiber infrastructure that could be used to transport voice, data and Internet traffic—helping create the foundation for the broadband-connected Indiana we know today.

For Mulberry, the investment was about more than simply keeping up with technology. It was about looking ahead. The same forward-thinking approach that led us from traditional telephone service to dial-up Internet, DSL, long-distance and expanded telecommunications services was preparing us for a future built on fiber.

Looking back, these investments may have seemed like the next step at the time. Today, they are part of the story of how Mulberry Telecommunications continued to evolve, invest and prepare for the future—while staying true to the members and communities we serve.

From telephone lines to fiber-optic connections, the technology has changed. Our commitment to our communities has not.
