For the past 15 years, the Institute has tackled some of our state’s most complex health challenges and has worked to collectively inform policy to improve health and healthcare in South Carolina.

We’re looking for an experienced communicator who can see the big picture, keep the details moving and bring people together around smart, strategic work.

• Experience leading integrated campaigns and client relationships

A new slice of the Lowcountry has officially arrived in Columbia! 🍕🎉

Yesterday, some of our celebrated the ribbon cutting + grand opening of Coastal Crust Columbia in The BullStreet District, Columbia, S.C..

Located inside BullStreet’s historic Williams Building, Coastal Crust brings its signature wood-fired pizzas, handmade Italian dishes and boutique Enoteca wine shop to the district. We were proud to support PR efforts surrounding the opening and help welcome this exciting new addition to the neighborhood.

Congratulations to the Coastal Crust + BullStreet teams! We’re ready to dig in. 😋

Say hello to Meghan ""Meg"" Jerome, our newest integrated media coordinator! 🎉

Meg joins the team with experience in media, research and client management, helping bring a thoughtful and strategic approach to paid media and advertising campaigns.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, spending time with family and friends + caring for her four-legged crew: three cats and a dog named Cosmo.

For a long time, our core values lived in the background, tucked away in an employee handbook and rarely referenced.

Under the leadership of Merritt, we set out to make them more intentional. Something we could actually use, speak and build around every day. We simplified each value into two clear words to make them easy to remember and easy to live out, then built supportive language underneath to bring them to life in a more meaningful way.

The goal was simple: create core values that do not just sit on a page, but truly reflect who we are and how we show up in our work and with each other.
