We recently launched something we’ve been wanting to build for a long time: a dedicated place for vinSUITE customers to submit product ideas directly to our team.

Not a support ticket. Not feedback that gets buried in a one-off conversation. A clearer path from “I wish this worked differently” to the people shaping the future of vinSUITE.

Some of the best features we’ve ever shipped started as a conversation with a winery team in the middle of their workday. A club manager who needed a faster way to handle exceptions. A DTC director who wanted a report we hadn’t thought of yet. A tasting room lead who saw the same issue every Saturday that nobody upstream knew about.

We want more of those conversations.

The product ideas portal gives our customers a more direct way to share what they’re running into, what would make their work easier, and what they’d like to see next.

It doesn’t mean every idea becomes an immediate feature, but it does mean customer feedback has a more visible place in our product conversations.

vinSUITE is built for winery DTC teams, and the best way to keep improving it is to keep listening to the people using it every day.

Customers can submit product ideas directly from the admin panel.

A busy Saturday in the tasting room should feel exciting. Not chaotic.

When your POS, your club data, and your customer history are all in one place, your team walks into that rush with everything they need.

A member walks in. Their name comes up. Their discount applies. Their pending pickup is right there.

No fumbling. No "let me go check on that." Just a great experience.

The technology disappears when it works well.

That's the goal.

Your tasting room did $12,000 in sales last Saturday. But you have no idea who bought what.

Because 80% of transactions were rung up as "Quick Sale." No name. No email. No phone number. Just cash or card, receipt printed, next customer.

Here's what you lost:

You can't send them a 'thanks for visiting' email
You can't invite them to your next event
You can't track if they ever come back
You can't see what they bought to personalize future outreach
You can't turn them into a wine club member later

The wineries that grow year-over-year? They capture every customer. Even if it's just a $40 bottle purchase. Even if the tasting room is slammed. Even if the customer seems like they're in a hurry.
Name + email = a relationship you can build on. Quick Sale = a transaction that disappears. Your POS should make it easier to capture data than to skip it.

Most wine club dashboards tell you who cancelled last month.
That’s not analytics. That’s an obituary.

By the time someone shows up in a churn report, you’ve already lost them.
The decision was made weeks earlier:
When they stopped opening emails
When they skipped a shipment
When their engagement dropped
When they went from “active” to “drifting”

Traditional reporting is backward-looking. It tells you what happened, not what’s about to happen.

The wineries holding 90%+ retention? They’re not tracking churn. They’re tracking churn risk.

They can see:
→ Which members are disengaging right now
→ Their likelihood to cancel
→ When to step in: before the decision is made

This isn’t guesswork. It’s pattern recognition across real engagement signals.
Churn reporting tells you who you lost. Churn prediction tells you who you’re about to lose. One helps you write post-mortems. The other helps you keep your wine club.

Spring tasting room traffic will be picking back up. Are you ready to convert those visitors into club members?

SVB's DTC Wine Survey shows the top wineries are hitting 8–10% conversion. Most aren't, and the difference usually isn't the wine. It's the little things: how staff make the ask, how fast the signup process is, and whether anyone follows up after the visit.

The good news? All of that is fixable.

Here's how 👉 https://vinsuite.com/BoostClubSignups

03/19/2026

Most wine clubs don't collapse overnight.
They fade.

There is no spike in complaints. No dramatic exit.

What happens instead is quieter and more dangerous.
Members disengage.

They stop opening emails.
They delay shipments.
They skip once. Then twice.
Eventually, they disappear.

By the time churn shows up in a report, the decision was made weeks or months earlier.

This is what makes wine club attrition so hard to manage. It doesn't announce itself. It erodes confidence slowly, in the background, while leadership is focused on harvest, staffing, cash flow, and the next quarter.

Most wineries aren't losing members because they stopped caring.
They're losing them because the warning signs are invisible in the tools they rely on today.

Your wine club should be one of your most reliable revenue streams. So why do so many interested visitors never join?

It usually comes down to small gaps in the experience:

• Signup isn’t easy across your website, tasting room, and events
• The mobile experience is frustrating
• There’s no follow-up after someone shows interest
• Club options feel too rigid

Individually, these don’t seem like big issues. Together, they can quietly cost you members and revenue.

We created a simple Wine Club Acquisition Checklist to help you spot where you might be losing potential members and what to improve.

January is quieter.
And because of that, it is more honest.

This is the moment when winery leaders look past campaigns and calendars and ask harder questions. Not just about growth targets, but about stability.

How solid is our wine club, really?
Which revenue streams feel predictable?
Where are we exposed if nothing changes?

Most teams come into the year with plans. Very few come in with clarity.

Budgets get set. Forecasts get approved. Yet underneath it all sits an uncomfortable reality. Much of wine DTC still runs on lagging indicators and gut feel. Leaders hope problems stay small because they cannot see them early.

January thinking is not about excitement.
It is about confidence.

Confidence that the club base will hold.
Confidence that declines will not surprise the team in Q2.
Confidence that decisions are being made with eyes open.

This is why timing matters so much. Early in the year, leaders are not looking for more reports. They are looking for fewer surprises.

The wineries that perform best over the year are rarely the ones with the flashiest tactics. They are the ones that see risk early and act calmly.

That difference usually gets decided right now.
