Hello VandyAppers! In this week's meeting we have tech consulting company CTS, Inc. returning to our campus to talk internships and job opportunities for students of all years!

Afterwards, we get treated to a deep dive into quality assurance and software testing from Vandy Alumnus and CTS engineer Robert Jackson! These skills are the greatest thing since sliced bread to a hungry software engineer, but are difficult to learn without working professionally; in fact, we're so excited about it that we've CANCELLED ALL SESSIONS (EXCEPT WEB DEV)! Please check your session's slack channel for further information!

Tuesday at 7pm in FGH 134! See you there!

Code Golf, FGH 110, 6-8 p.m!!!!

The competition will be to try to solve 6 problems correctly, with the least amount of code possible. We have a Raspberry Pi, an Arduino, and an Adafruit gift card as prizes, with the top 3 getting to choose a prize in order.

We will also be serving Two Boots Pizza for everyone to munch on throughout the competition. The questions have a good range in their difficulties, so don’t be afraid to come compete! We can guarantee that you’ll get some tasty dinner and learn something valuable along the way no matter what.

Coming up at our meeting tomorrow (FGH 138, 7pm):

iOS sessions will be covering game development using SpriteKit, Advanced Programming sessions will be continuing with metaprogramming, and Command Line Sessions will be covering vim packages and a little shell scripting.

Last week we had a great tech talk from Danny McClanahan on trees, hash maps, CSS, and HTML, and this week we’ll be having another member-led tech-talk, this time by Tristan on his experience with iOS game development.

Thanks to Capital One for sponsoring the VandyApps t-shirts! Can't wait to see these around campus!
