Search is starting to feel a lot less like searching. ๐
Google just rolled out a feature called Search Live. Instead of typing a question, you point your phone at something and ask out loud. The system responds with a spoken answer, keeps listening, and lets you ask follow-ups naturally.
It's less like a search engine. More like a conversation.
For businesses, this is where it gets interesting.
Search is shifting from keywords to intent. Instead of someone typing "how to reset AC unit X," they'll just point their phone at it and ask. That changes how people find answers, and how they discover products and services.
It also raises expectations. People will want faster answers and fewer steps between "I have a problem" and "I know what to do next."
It's not flawless yet. It sometimes misidentifies objects or misses details, so it's not something to rely on blindly. But more than a billion people were already using Google Lens. Now that capability is becoming conversational and faster.
The way people ask questions is changing. And when that changes, the way they find answers changes with it.
If your customers can point their phone at a problem and ask for help, would your business be part of the answer they get? ๐ค
