Our company operates a 28,000 square foot facility in Naugatuck, Connecticut and a satellite facility in Stratford, Connecticut. The Naugatuck facility includes system staging and training areas as well as our warehouse, large drive-in work bays, repair shop, customer spare equipment storage, and serves as our headquarters supporting customer service, sales, administration, and engineering personnel. Well it’s a wrap! Ultimately the game was cancelled, but the fun was not. The ceremonial first pitches started the game and then the field was covered in hopes of a break in the rain. In the end, mother nature did not cooperate and the game was called, but the show must go on. The recognition awards were moved to the concourse and on to the jumbotrons and TVs.

It’s not lost on me how disappointing the weather and the outcome was on many levels, but the vibe last night was upbeat and happy. When I looked at the pictures this morning I saw smiling, happy faces and it reminded me of the fun, laughs and comradery that was had by those who braved the weather. In the end we shared a hot dog and beer or two, celebrated and honored those who protect and serve and had some time to laugh and smile as a group of wet humans who all work to make the world a little better and safer place to live.

The amount of work and dedication needed to make this event happen is enormous. We send our sincere gratitude to all those who worked so hard to support this event in the months leading up to last night and the hearty souls that braved the rain to show up to work or join the event when the outcome was less than certain.

We are sincerely grateful to our Norcom staff for many hours of preparation and support last night, to the on field participants who practiced for weeks and stood-by last night, to the yard goats staff who are always the best and to countless others to help make this event happen.

While the outcome was not what we would have liked, we are honored and grateful to have the opportunity to support this amazing community! We are so very grateful to everyone for the hard work and dedication needed to prepare and run this event even without playing the game, and to our community of first responders who support and serve the larger community each day. We at Norcom are privileged and honored to be part of the public safety community. Thank you for all you do! Be safe, be well.

Hey everyone, we’re looking forward to tonight’s event and we’re optimistic about the weather cooperating tonight. The have contingencies to adjust game day activities in the event excessive precipitation, and they will do everything possible to keep the game on! In the unlikely event of status changes to or cancellation of the game, they will notify via social media. We will echo that update as soon as we see it as well.
