🇺🇸 A LEGACY OF SERVICE. A MISSION OF PURPOSE. A WELL-DESERVED HONOR.

Today, the Honor Box Studios family is incredibly proud to celebrate our Co-Founder and CEO, Robert “Scotty” Scott, who has been named the 2026 Naples Area Patriot of the Year by The Patriot Fund!

For Scotty, service has never been defined solely by the uniform he wore. It has been defined by what he continues to do for others long after his military career.

A retired U.S. Army veteran, Scotty knows firsthand that some of the toughest battles happen after service. His journey through life-changing injuries, recovery, and personal struggles helped shape a renewed purpose: giving back, supporting fellow veterans, and ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.

That purpose became part of the foundation of Honor Box Studios.

Alongside Co-Founder Shawn Bertholf, Scotty helped transform a vision into something extraordinary: handcrafted tributes that preserve the stories, accomplishments, and legacies of those who have served.

Because behind every uniform is a person.

Behind every medal is a story.

And behind every Honor Box is a legacy worth preserving.

On November 6, 2026, Scotty will be recognized at The Patriot Fund's 6th Annual Stars & Stripes Gala in Naples, Florida.

We are incredibly grateful to The Patriot Fund for recognizing Scotty's dedication to our veteran community and the mission that continues to drive everything we do.

Scotty, congratulations! Your Honor Box Studios family is proud of you, and we cannot think of a more meaningful way to celebrate the work you continue to do for others.

With History In Your Hands, Every Box Has a Story. 🇺🇸

There is always a story behind the box.

A medal may represent years of service.

A patch may bring back memories of a unit, deployment or place someone once called home.

A photograph may hold faces and moments that can never be recreated.

And a folded flag can represent an entire lifetime of service and sacrifice.

At Honor Box Studios, we believe these pieces deserve more than storage.
They deserve to be preserved.
But even more importantly, the stories behind them deserve to be preserved too.

As October begins, we want to spend more time talking about the memories, people and history represented inside the boxes we create.

Because someday a child, grandchild or great-grandchild may ask:

“What did this mean?”
We want families to still have the answer.
Honor the service.
Preserve the story.
Protect the legacy.

Today, on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who endured captivity, those who never returned home, and the families who have lived with unanswered questions.

Their service is more than history. Their names, their stories, and their sacrifices are part of the legacy of our military community—and they deserve to be remembered.

At Honor Box Studios, we believe preserving military history means remembering every chapter, including those whose stories remain unfinished.

To our former Prisoners of War, our Missing in Action, and the families who continue to carry their memory:

You are not forgotten.

🇺🇸 Honor. Remember. Preserve the Legacy.

Today, we remember.

September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever.

We remember the lives taken too soon.
We remember the families who never got to say goodbye.
We remember the first responders who ran toward danger while others were trying to escape.
We remember the service members who answered the call in the days, months, and years that followed.

And we remember a moment when, despite unimaginable tragedy, communities came together in a way many of us will never forget.

At Honor Box, we believe stories matter—especially the stories of courage, sacrifice, service, and the people whose lives helped shape our history.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor those we lost, those who served, those who sacrificed, and the families who still carry the weight of that day.

May we never allow the passing of time to diminish the importance of remembering.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

We are thrilled to announce our 2026 Naples Area Patriot of the Year, Robert Scott “Scotty!"🎉

Scotty is a 100% service-connected disabled Veteran after being crushed between two military vehicles while on active duty. After battling PTSD and nearly becoming part of the “22 a Day,” Scotty made a life-changing decision — to become part of the solution rather than part of the problem. Mental health became a central focus of his mission, and he now dedicates himself to helping others confront and overcome PTSD.

When his best friend, Shawn Bertholf, shared his vision of honoring America's Veterans by transforming retired am******on cans into meaningful Honor Boxes, Scotty answered the call and helped bring Honor Box Studios to life.👏

Today, as CEO and master craftsman, Scotty personally designs and handcrafts every Honor Box, ensuring each one is created with pride, purpose, and the utmost respect for those who have served our nation. His work has honored military heroes, retirees, Veterans, community leaders, and organizations through one-of-a-kind creations, including custom pieces commemorating America's 250th anniversary, retired Navy SEALs, Chief Warrant Officer Nick Lavery, and Veteran National Social Media Award recipient Earl Granville.

Every Honor Box tells a story of service, sacrifice, leadership, and legacy—creating a lasting tribute that will be treasured for generations.🤝

Today, on Purple Heart Day, Honor Box Studios pauses to honor the brave men and women who were wounded or gave their lives in service to our country. 💜

The Purple Heart is more than a medal.

Behind every Purple Heart is a person.
A family.
A sacrifice.
A story that deserves to be remembered.

Some of those stories are told through photographs and uniforms. Others live within medals, patches, letters, and treasured pieces that families have held onto for generations.

At Honor Box Studios, we understand that preserving these pieces means preserving a part of someone’s life, service, and legacy.

Today, we especially honor our Purple Heart recipients, the families who walked beside them through recovery, and the Gold Star families who continue carrying the memory of those who never made it home.

Your sacrifice is not forgotten.
Your story matters.
Your legacy deserves to live on.

💜 Honor. Remember. Preserve.

Military keepsakes tell only part of the story unless families also preserve the meaning behind them.

A photograph may show where someone served—but does the family know who is standing beside them?

A medal may represent extraordinary service—but does anyone know when or why it was awarded?

A patch, coin, letter, or set of orders may seem like a small item today, but it could become one of the most meaningful pieces of a family’s history.

Here are five things military families should begin preserving:

• Photographs with names, dates, and locations
• Medals, ribbons, badges, and their meanings
• Unit patches, challenge coins, and insignia
• Letters, journals, certificates, and important orders
• The veteran’s own words and personal stories

Do not wait until someone else must piece the story together.

Ask the questions. Write down the answers. Preserve the history.
