R/R ProTip! Since I've switched to a laptop with a smaller but faster SSD, I don't like to install any unnecessary software. I'm always looking for lighter (and free!) alternatives to my old favs. And since I'm working on my doctorate and a startup, I generate a lot of PDF documents. Adobe Acrobat is great, but it took up way too much of my precious space. Over the past several months, I've been using dochub.com and smallpdf.com exclusively and have completely ditched Acrobat in favor of these web-based gems. For basic document work, I've yet to come across anything that these web apps can't handle and haven't looked back. If you want to slim down your system, check these out. Wi-Fi routers work on channels. For most routers of the 2.4GHz band
variety, there are 11 – 14 channels to work with. That’s not very many for
a neighborhood with a lot of routers clogging up the small usable,
overlapping range. But by looking into your Wi-Fi router’s settings, you
can change your channel and get better speeds.
