.mehiel is an artist, actor, and filmmaker. Lío made their feature film debut as the lead role in MUTT, which premiered at the 2023 Film Festival. Their critically acclaimed performance won them the Special Jury Award for Acting. They will next
be seen starring in the indie feature, IN THE SUMMERS.

As a filmmaker, Lío produced CHAPERONE, a q***r short film which premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film
Festival. They wrote, directed, produced, and starred in DISFORIA, a short film which premiered at the
2018 Film Festival.

Lío is currently the producer and creative director of the transgender sculpture collection, Ancient
Futures/Angels. The works most recently showed at in London. Their piece, Arcade
Amerikana, was included in the list of 10 Best Immersive Shows in NYC by and .

*as a note: MUTT received an interim waiver from SAG to promote the movie as it is totally unaffiliated with any AMPTP company. You can support the small film and still be in support of the strike (as we are!)

We are so excited to tell you that ForThem is acquiring Autostraddle! We’re two brands joining forces with a shared mission striving to realize our boldest, gayest dreams. Here’s the TLDR:

✍️Autostraddle will retain editorial independence and will remain the website you currently know and love, headed up by our Editor-in-Chief Carmen Phillips.

👔For Them and Autostraddle will be led by CEO Kylo Freeman (they/he).

⚙️For Them products and membership, including pricing, will not change as a result of the acquisition.

🤝Meet the co-host of He’s Copy Podcast: Natalya Samee!

Natalya (she/her) is a writer, actor, comedian, and Libra based in Brooklyn. She was an artist-in-residence in Ars Nova’s Comedy Artist Makers Program, where she developed and debuted her one woman show, SATURN RETURN, to a sold out audience off-broadway.

Next, she will be taking it to Edinburgh Fringe Festival from August 2-13. She was recently an artist-in-residence in SFFILM’s 2022 Filmhouse Residency for her project, DOHA GIRLS, an original TV series based on her adolescence in the Middle East.

She currently performs improv, stand-up, and sketch around New York City. Born in Pakistan but raised in oil-rich monarchies, Natalya is interested in telling stories that illuminate the world she comes from. 📚🌟

Gara (he/him) is a performance artist and writer living in NYC. He moved to NYC from Iowa in 2015 where he was christened into the NYC stand up scene. After a few years of exploring his voice in the comedy world, Gara added his 16 years of dance training to his stand up set.

He has been elegantly straddling the NYC downtown theater world and the comedy scene for 5 years now and has performed on some of NYC’s most iconic stages like La MaMa, MoMa PS1, The Bell House, Stand Up New York, ARS NOVA and many more.

He loves his dog and dancing in his kitchen 🐾🕺🏼
