We’re excited to share that Trigo is backed by Y Combinator as part of the winter 2023 batch! 🚀 We are so proud to be a part of such an innovative community of builders.
Trigo is leveling the playing field for renters and improving access to affordable credit and housing. Trigo aggregates consumer rent history to help landlords approve better tenants and lenders write more loans.
This journey began when Sam Stein pulled his own credit report and realized not one of his landlords over the past decade had reported a single month’s rent payment to the credit bureaus. With a little research, Sam and Abe Wheeler discovered that this data has only 3% coverage in the market today. Trigo has 25x more coverage than the credit bureaus, and we’ve already consolidated tens of thousands of rental units to provide data instantly.
