We partnered with sustainability expert to do Green Friday Challenges, where changing a small daily habit makes a big difference. 👊🌎

Here is this week's Green Friday Challenge by :

Did you know that each of us creates 1,128 pounds of bathroom waste in our lifetime? Each one of us!!

Join me and this week for another Green Friday challenge to help reduce our bathroom waste! I'm challenging you all to take a look at all the products you are using in the bathroom and see what you're throwing away. Is it cotton pads for skincare? Try to find some reusable cotton rounds instead! Is it plastic from your body soap, skincare, or shampoo? Try out some bar soap, refillable shampoo, or even bar shampoo!

There are so many options out there that are now made for every hair type. One easy way I try to reduce my waste is by opting for items that come in easily recycled, or reusable packaging. This usually means glass jars and cardboard. If finding those options for you is harder, then I recommend looking for products that come in recycled plastic instead! I hope this gives you some ideas and tips on ways to reduce bathroom waste.

We partnered with sustainability expert to do Green Friday Challenges, where changing a small habit everyday makes a big difference. 👊🌎

Here is this week's Green Friday Challenge by :

Did you know that Americans throw away 100 billion plastic bags every year? That's BILLION with a B! What is a simple way to cut back on this statistic you ask? It's pretty simple and very easy - bring your own reusable bags shopping with you!

Sometimes the most sustainable changes are small ones! Reusable totes are such an easy swap for plastic or even paper bags at grocery stores.

I like to leave mine in the car so I know I always have them with me even for an impromptu shopping trip. I also picked up these washable produce bags from my local grocery store too that I use for everything - fruits, veggies, and even nuts!

So, I'm challenging you this week to bring that tote with you while you shop, let's see how many bags we can say "no thanks" to this week! I also have some tips below on how I remember to bring my bags with me too.

1. Leave them in your car or right by the door.
2. Find a reusable tote that can fold up to stash in your purse and/or pocket.
3. Buy a reusable product bag, or make one!
