We launched Voltpost with a simple vision: if we’re serious about addressing climate change, we have to reinvent how we power transportation.
Decarbonizing mobility is one of the largest opportunities to reduce emissions, and this requires public chargers woven into the fabric of communities—not just on highways, but everywhere people live, work, shop, and park.
That belief led us to recognize that the infrastructure we need already exists.
Millions of lampposts line the streets of America. Instead of building costly new infrastructure from scratch, we saw an opportunity to retrofit what’s already there, deploying chargers on lampposts and utility poles. This makes clean transportation more affordable and accessible for everyone.
For the millions of people without home charging, community charging changes everything.
Five years in, we are deploying Voltpost across New York, Michigan, Illinois, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and beyond. We are empowering communities, one charger at a time.
We’re humbled to have Voltpost recognized as a Best Invention and Company Most Innovative Company and World Changing Idea, but our real measure of success is simpler: making charging as ubiquitous as the common lamppost.
