AI is moving faster than our ways of working can adapt. What if the answer isn’t a bigger plan, but simpler rules?

Join Modus Digital’s Jay Erickson and co-host Emily Kagan at Boston Human Week for Second Nature: What Ecosystems Can Teach Us About Leading Through AI. This hands-on workshop for organizational leaders uses lessons from living systems to rethink how teams adopt AI.

It’s also a taste of something bigger. The workshop is a prelude to Second Nature, our three-day, invite-only executive retreat this January at Glynwood, a working farm in New York’s Hudson Valley. If November gets the wheels turning, January is where you go deeper.

📅 Friday, November 13 · 1:00–3:00 PM
📍 Industrious, 711 Atlantic Ave, Boston (steps from South Station)
Less decks, more doing. Admission is free, but seats are limited.

It’s Q4. Two questions worth asking right now:
🔮 What will 2027 ask of your digital strategy?
🎯 And what can you still get done in 2026 to be ready for it?

Planning ahead and acting now aren’t competing priorities. Here’s how to do both → https://hubs.la/Q04Bjfwm0

We spend so much of our workday on screens. Dashboards, decks, an inbox that never empties. But going through the motions isn’t progress.

Second Nature is designed to break that pattern. An intimate executive retreat for senior leaders navigating AI-driven change, hosted by Jay Erickson, Partner & Chief Innovation Officer, Modus Digital, and Emily Kagan, Fractional CPO and Narrative Strategist.

January 27–29, 2027, at a 250-acre working farm in the Hudson Valley. Forest walks, morning meditations, roundtables led by those who’ve driven change, and a working 30/60/90-day plan for every attendee's team.

Past cohorts have included senior leaders from firms like Nike, Dow Jones, and Novo Nordisk. Pricing increases after October 31. Apply now: https://hubs.la/Q04zvrNd0

Pharma leaders: So your organization has bought the AI tools: Copilot, Claude, Agentforce ✅

But what about the part nobody's tooling roadmap covers: what it actually takes to rewire workflows when humans and agentic systems are handing tasks back and forth in real time?

That's exactly what we'll uncover on October 8 in NYC at our next Modus Salon in NYC as part of Pulse NYC's AI Week NY. Jay Erickson, Partner & Chief Innovation Officer, will host this exclusive dinner. Request to join here: https://hubs.la/Q04yBD-J0

Why do so many enterprise AI agents work great in demos — then fall apart in production?

It usually comes down to one architectural decision made too early: defaulting to standard RAG and never questioning it.

Xavier Otero, Associate Director, AI & Infrastructure in Engineering, recently published a technical guide to a more resilient approach — one that pairs probabilistic retrieval with deterministic knowledge graphs to eliminate hallucinations before they reach the user.

If your organization is scaling AI past the pilot phase, this is the infrastructure conversation you need to be having. Learn more here: https://hubs.la/Q04p3xh_0
