When he saw my portfolio in '96, Ed McCabe (the original Mad Man) hired me on the spot as sole Art Director at McCabe & Company for a whopping $35,000/yr. (That was sarcasm). In about a month, because my talent was already producing considerable ROI for Ed, he gave me a raise to an amazing $40,000/yr. (That was sarcasm).

Ed also appointed me as Creative Director on interactive campaigns.

In '97, Ed told me: "You should start your own agency."

Everything I did for Ed McCabe, or for any other agency or publishing company, or for any client of my own agency — was remarkably profitable and successful.

I have the documentation and testimonies to prove it.

During 1996-97, Ed McCabe made millions FROM MY TALENT AND ORIGINALITY — from my Art Direction and Creative Direction — while he was paying me no more than $40,000/year.

After I created an interactive campaign — on my own — for SVA — which they bought in minutes — did not need to sell it...

And I made more millions for Ed...

He fired me and told me start my own agency...

Also during 1996-97...

One morning around 7 AM when I was going to work early, for some reason John Kennedy Jr. — a total stranger...

Just happened to be in front of McCabe & Company at 60th and Madison.

He followed me onto the elevator and got off the elevator on my floor, where the lights were still off.

Apparently, he was yet another crazy stalker and "fan" of mine.

I was frightened, but did not lose my cool.

He claimed he was going to his dentist...

So why did he get off the elevator on my floor...that was rhetorical...not an actual question.

I said:

"This is not your dentist — but as I am a Creative Director from a family of PA Democratic Party leaders...

But not rich and spoiled (like he was)...

I also said to him: "If you need help with "George" I would do a great job — and gave him my Art Director card. Then I sent him on his way.

I said nothing for decades.

Now I am reporting EVERYTHING.

My name IS NOT Monroe.

It's Jane Rubin — idiots.

I collaborated directly with Ed McCabe and Jerry Andreozzi on campaigns — including this one for the School of Visual Arts. I created a visually psychedelic look, displayed in the Village Voice, on MTA buses and rains, on phone kiosks, and as a mural on SVA's main E. 23rd Street Building.
