Learn how to make Kadhi without onion and garlic step by step. This kadhi will suit a low cholesterol diet and is an indian recipe.

Combine 1 cup curd & 3 tbsp gram flour, make a thick batter and mix it in 1 1/2 cup of boiling water and let it cook on medium flame for 7-8 min. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, salt, ginger-garlic-green chilli paste & 1/2 cup of water to adjust the consistency.. After 1 min. , switch off the flame.
Batter for Pakodas : 3/4 cup of besan/gram flour, carom seeds, turmeric powder & red chilli powder,1 pinch of salt and add some water. Make a thick smooth batter . No need to add eating soda. Drop the kadhi pakodas in super hot boiling water. Within 3 min., the pakodas will float on water surface. Take it out and mix in kadhi. Boil Kadhi for 1 min.
Divide Kadhi in 2 bowls. We see 2 in 1 kadhi .
No oil Kadhi needs no tempering or tadka. Spread red chilli flakes and roasted cumin powder and serve hot.
In less oil kadhi, heat 1 tsp ghee in tadka pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and 1 pinch of red chilli powder. Spread over less oil kadhi. Serve hot with roti/chapati/boiled rice.
This kadhi without onion and garlic is very light and is suitable for a low cholesterol diet. Cooking without oil makes this indian recipe suitable as healthy food.
