This will be my tenth RIPE event, so hosting this RIPE meeting feels especially meaningful. I’ve come to see these meetings as some of the best opportunities to reconnect with friends and clients I haven’t seen in a while. They’re a chance to have good conversations and strengthen relationships in a way that only happens when people come together in person. For those people I haven’t met yet, I look forward to meeting you too.

Hosting RIPE 92 feels like an important way to give back to the community. There’s something special about hosting for the first time. So much has changed internally for us from broader transformation to onboarding network management solutions. There are many more ways we can now help you solve your issues. This makes this event feel both timely and significant and I look forward to welcoming you all.

It’s a privilege to be part of the RIPE community. With RIPE 92 in just a few short weeks, I’m reminded that while we gather for policy discussions, we stay for the people.

The real magic of the operator and RIR communities happens outside the conference room. It’s in the one-on-one time that turns "just another engineer" into a trusted friend.

Our global internet community is only as strong as these relationships. When the stakes are high—an outage, a security threat, or a difficult technical hurdle—having a network of people to call upon makes all the difference. Hosting RIPE is our way of building the trust necessary to solve the world's biggest connectivity challenges together. We’re building a more resilient internet, one conversation at a time.

After a strong March for IPv4 sales and pricing, April data shows continued stability in pricing, coupled with steady and strong demand. While pricing remains well below historical highs, volume across block sizes and regions suggests a continued upward trend as we move through 2026. Buyers who were waiting for the market to bottom out should be looking at opportunities, and sellers who were on the sidelines, or priced out of the market, should be paying close attention. Want to explore recent IPv4 transaction trends in more detail? View the full prior sales data to see how pricing is moving across block sizes and time periods. https://www.ipv4.global/reports/

Hosting RIPE 92 means a lot to me - both personally and professionally.

My first meeting was in Rotterdam, and I still remember how it felt: I was new - “grün hinter den Ohren,” as we say in German - and immediately struck by how open and welcoming everyone was.

It didn’t feel like a typical conference; it felt like a space where people genuinely care about building the Internet together.

That first impression never really changed. Over time, RIPE became something I look forward to twice a year - not just for the knowledge sharing, but for the people.

What started as professional connections turned into real friendships. Now it feels more like reconnecting with a global “Internet family,” learning from each other and inspiring one another.

Through RIPE, I’ve also found ways to contribute beyond the meetings - getting involved with my regional NOG and local roundtables and feeling like I can give something back to a community that has given me so much.

That’s why hosting RIPE 92 carries so much meaning. It’s not just an event - it’s an experience. And having been on the participant side, I know how impactful that experience can be. Being part of the team helping to create it now comes with genuine excitement but also a strong sense of responsibility.

Welcoming this community is an honor - and I’m looking forward to helping make it a great experience for everyone.

What makes a regional event matter is the trust it builds between people.

In this conversation with Jan Zorz, a network engineering veteran with 30 years experience in the industry, we hear how SEE 14, the regional RIPE meeting for Southeastern Europe, grew from a simple idea into something much bigger: a space where network operators, engineers, policymakers, and local communities felt empowered to talk to one another, share knowledge, and build stronger connections and a better way forward for the regional internet community.

It’s a reminder that the Internet is not only built on routers, protocols, and cables, but on the relationships between the people who create them.
A great reflection on community, collaboration, and the quiet work that helps a region grow stronger together.

There’s something fitting about the Internet community gathering in Edinburgh. The Scottish Enlightenment gave the world a language of liberty, inquiry, and progress through reasoned debate. David Hume wrote that “liberty is the perfection of civil society” and the Internet, at its best, reflects that same idea: openness, participation, and the free exchange of knowledge, sustained by trusted coordination and shared responsibility. That feels like a strong lens through which to see RIPE 92 in Scotland: not just a meeting, but a live example of collaborative problem-solving in the spirit of enlightenment.

Hosting RIPE 92 brings together so many things that matter to me. This will be my first RIPE, and I’m excited to finally experience first-hand such a massive and important flagship event. It also means the opportunity to finally meet face-to-face so many clients and peers I’ve worked with for so long.

Hosting RIPE is about providing a space for productive, open conversation; a place where people can share what they are working on, exchange knowledge, and enjoy being part of something genuinely collaborative.

We’ve worked hard to make RIPE 92 special for the community. It’s a packed schedule both during the day and after hours. I’m really looking forward to it.

The core theme of ARIN 57 is policy legibility. The docket is not about rewriting the foundations of number resource management. It is about making the NRPM easier to interpret, more aligned with existing practice, and better suited to the realities of smaller, globally distributed, and IPv6-building organizations. After several quarters of gradual price erosion, the IPv4 market is exhibiting tentative signs of stabilization. March 2026 data from IPv4•Global suggests that, while pricing remains below mid-2025 levels, a modest uptick has emerged following February’s plateau—hinting at a potential inflection point rather than a transient fluctuation.
