CitiView Audio Visual was started by Steve Lichtensteiger in 1998 in order to fill a need in the burgeoning event industry. CitiView quickly built a reputation for providing outstanding lighting, video and sound, operated by experts in each discipline. Rock! Since then, we have approached every event with the same level of dedication to making it an experience that will last forever. A quick look behind the process on our latest setup. 🛠️💻

We started this run sitting on the carpet running color tests with a screen of bright candy graphics, and wrapped with the final, clean mountain view lit up in deep blues. It’s always wild to watch a room shift shape as the day goes on. One minute you're tracing signal lines on the floor, and the next, the tables are straight and the space is completely dialed.

Another successful room put together. We’re officially packed up, loaded out, and checking the map for our next stop on the schedule.

Faders are ready, the board is warm, and another run is officially in motion. 🎛️⚡️

There is a real, physical energy that comes with standing at the console right as a session is about to kick off. It’s not about the technical specs of the mixer—it’s about being right there, hands-on, adjusting the levels in real-time so that every single voice sounds natural and reaches the back of the room with the same warmth.

We have a busy slate of events lined up over the next few weeks, moving from city to city. We’re ready for the long hours and the fast paces.

It’s been a heavy run lately—moving from high-energy summits to the fast-paced world of fashion shows—but seeing a room light up like this never gets old. There’s a specific kind of adrenaline that hits when the crowd gets involved and the whole place starts to move, no matter the industry.

Looking back at this one, it’s funny how the smallest moments are the ones that stick with you.

We remember standing there just making sure the image was perfect, thinking about how many people were about to see their vision up on that screen. It’s a lot of work and a lot of long hours, but when the show starts and everything looks exactly the way it should, you realize why you’re here.

There’s a real sense of pride that comes with getting it just right—not for the credit, but just for the feeling of knowing the job is done well. That feeling of helping someone tell their story stays with us. It was a good event.

It’s that last moment when someone is on the floor, adjusting a lens by just a few millimeters until the image finally feels right. Most people walking into the room won't ever notice that tiny change, but we know it’s there. For us, those small, hands-on moments are what turn a room into a real experience.

We’re heading home after another great day, and it feels good to look back and know we didn't overlook the little things. It’s not about the big, flashy gear—it’s about the care that goes into that one final touch before the doors open.

Looking at those big screens, you realize it’s not about the gear—it’s about the connection. When you can see the expression in a speaker’s eyes or the smile behind a key point from all the way in the back row, it makes a massive, historic room feel like a personal conversation.

That’s why we do this. We love being the ones who make sure that spark on stage reaches everyone in the room. It’s been a long day, but seeing a program end on such a high note makes every minute worth it.
