My first custom MIDI controller for a play! It was really cool seeing one of my controllers in a theater. This thing can actually control the theater lights from the stage!

The groove of building one of these is different than the musical groove, it feels different. After I finish making it though, I have something that allows me to get stuck in the musical groove for hours. Two different grooves, both extremely satisfying!

When does soldering become fun? I’m not exactly sure, but it can be relaxing if you are not in a huge hurry or mess something up. Having better tools really helps. Trying to use a giant soldering iron to attach small components is something I’m glad I no longer have to do!
