tiny bones press is a custom design studio + print shop in new york i truly love all things print!

i've spent the last decade meandering through the worlds of photography, design and book production and once i started making things myself, i couldn't stop. i'm hoping to share all this goodness and passion through my paper goods. always leaning towards designs that are minimal + smart, my stationery collection is available for purchase through my site and in select stores. all my work is done th

rough a hand-fed letterpress or foil process (one by one, by myself, megan) on vintage presses in my new york studio. the paper used is the most incredible recycled stock that has the feeling of fine art paper. please reach out directly to discuss your custom projects as well!

summer recap 〰
first monday of the school year! summer days were spent cleaning the studio, printing, covid-ing, celebrating 38, seeing more people with my newfound extra immunity, hosting team for a studio visit, organizing and photographing work from the past year and a lot of reflection on life and business as we came up to a year since the flood happened.

so, some conclusions. we are narrowing down on our wholesale accounts and wedding clients (less is more). i feel so lucky to be in the stores we are already in and this summer we were also stocked by one of my dreams of course, we will stay in our usual stores and still will be open to new stockists except now evolution on this front will be a bit more exclusive and intentional. same goes for weddings, we will book at limited capacity. 🤍

what i’m hoping for is to have this open up space for expansion with custom stationery, alongside special publishing projects. really explore where can take us. allow more time for art printmaking.

i’ve also been working with private clients on their imagery more and more. (i spent the last 15 years in the photo industry and… i do miss it) i’ve had the extreme pleasure of starting to work with a favorite brand of mine on their images. j+h especially love their sweatshirts. they are incredibly soft, are built to last and such cute illustrations. sign up for their newsletter for a discount code towards some of your own!!

and …. i’ll finally be getting around to sharing more on here and in my newsletter. especially on recently completed work because i just needed a break from the instagrind and have missed sharing so many cool projects that i’ve loved

back to writing lists and i feel as though my life just got an instant organizational upgrade. ✨

i’ve found it’s too overwhelming to keep everything swirling around in my head, it’s best to get it out onto paper. anyone else agree?

accepting all other advice since post kids i have infinitely more responsibilities and infinitely less memory.

it’s been a quick end to 21 and a slow start to 22 - mostly on purpose, mostly out of necessity.

i hope you and yours are all healthy. the past year brought a lot of goodness and even more unexpectedness for the studio. i’m grateful for the opportunity to use the calendar turn as a chance to shift things and make life in general a bit more sustainable moving forward.

i’m going to take the next few weeks to get organized and let you all know what we have been doing and where we are going. 〰✉️✨

well friends, i signed a lease on a new studio space.

the presses will hopefully smoothly move over to this spot next week and then they can get fully checked over to make sure we are ok.

a completely blank slate lends itself it to a fresh, inspiring start, right?

thank you so much for all of your well wishes, pre-orders and support. it truly means the world to me. 💛

i’ll keep you posted on the resets as you go along with me, one day at a time, forward.

i'm really lucky, all considering.

the babes and our apartment are ok, but the hurricane came for my temporary studio space. and water, as gentle and soothing as it can be in other forms - in this storm, was brutal and unforgiving.

so, here we are.
less than seven hours after we closed on our house sale, seven years of work washed away: back stock, paper, journals, some current orders, all copies of always looking, including the new release, and the was-supposed-to-be-released one.

i spent time this week catching my breath, cleaning, discarding, trying my gd hardest to save my presses and any sliver of samples i had of past work. my poor mom, the best person in the world.

right now, i'm still in a bit in shock, but it seems minor in comparison to what others are dealing with so i feel grateful too.

that being said, i have got to be a bit creative to land on my feet in this situation. i originally shut down my site completely, but it is also my livelihood. and we know what the past couple years have been like and i know, i'm a pragmatist, i must do something proactive.

i've set my site up to be fully pre-order for the time being. i'm looking at a new studio space and hope to get the presses (fingers crossed) up and running by mid october. it's going to be a journey, but maybe one you want to take with me? if you were going to order any stationery or books for the holidays, i ask that you please do it now via my website, with the goal in mind that by early november, you will have your order in your hands.

to be clear, i'm also working in the interim with a local printer to get my custom orders printed in case that you have an order pending or want to place one - still totally possible for the timeline you need. what is not possible right now is me fulfilling my orders from my site of my line since my entire stock of that, my boxes, packaging etc everything was lost.

if you don't need any stationery or books, please no worries, but maybe you could share this with someone who may? and please give anything you can to the organizations doing the hard hurricane work in NOLA and throughout the northeast.

it’s been a time

moved house, studio, twin toddlers, life. more overwhelmed and excited than i’ve been in a long while.

and a couple of things for you :
two releases are coming up this week that i can’t wait to share. one is of the garden variety 🌼 with for and one is a very special ✍🏼💌 stationery collaboration with a favorite shop
