Q&A
What is your typical process for working with a new customer? What if we were getting a design from an ag
ency? How would we want to be treated? We take that into account when we are first hired by a new customer. It's not just money in, design out. There's more to it than that. The client actually matters too. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? We have a variety of certifications for Graphic Design, Photoshop, and Customer Service, etc. Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here. Our standard pricing system for our service is typically $30/hr. We try not to fluctuate from that unless it's really "nitty gritty". Other than that, we pretty much design at one rate. What types of customers have you worked with? We've worked with fortune 500 companies namely Nissan, numerous small businesses, non-profit organizations, fraternities/sororities, fire and police departments and a host of city officials. Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take? We just got finished with a flyer for Green Thumb Floral Boutique for their Mother's Day Arrangements. We updated their web store to reflect the time sensitive holiday products and created a simple mobile app to streamline customer interaction. We charged 9 hours for 3 tasks $270. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? If you're looking to hire a provider in my area of work, take a look at their track record. Figure out if they are open to working with you in the future in an ongoing basis as your "in-house" outsourced contractor, or if they are just a one hit wonder. Get a working knowledge of who they are, what they've done, and where they're going as a company. See if you're going to be an asset not only to them monetarily and momentarily, but as a lifetime client they take care of -- all your designing and branding needs to consistently design across multiple platforms of advertising such as print, web and mobile apps -- building a clientele relationship always looking to advance your company's growth potential, become a direct extension of what your company can offer its customers and increase your bottom line as well. What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? What are my goals? Will completing this project bring me closer to my goals? Do I know what I want to get out of this project? How much am I willing to spend on this project? Do I have the money ready now for this project? When this project is complete, what will I do then?
