The other day, I was in my backyard when my neighbor, who lives behind us, came to the fence to meet me for the first time. It turned out that one of our trees had fallen and damaged her fence, and she asked if we could fix it.
I told her it wouldn’t be a problem, and I would take care of it. She was so relieved and told me that her husband of 48 years had passed away just two weeks ago. She didn’t know what to do. I immediately felt for her because I understand the pain of losing a loved one.
I fixed the fence, and a few days later, she texted me asking if I could help with some other things around her house. I said I’d come over to see what needed to be done. She just needed her gutters cleaned, both inside and out, so I told her I could do that too.
Life has been really stressful for us lately, but today helped me see things in a new light. It gave us the chance to help someone who is really going through a tough time.
While we were cleaning her gutters, she wanted to pay us, but I told her we wanted to do it for free. I explained about "Brighten a Day"—how it’s our chance to give back, and that our payment would be a photo with her, which she happily agreed to.
When we got home, I went to take my phone out of my pocket and found money inside. She had slipped it in there when I wasn’t looking—like a ninja! I didn’t even feel it! 😂
I hope that we all can try to look beyond our own struggles and help those who might be having a harder time. It just might help you more than you think.

As I was eating dinner tonight at waffle king, I see this old man struggling to get in the door, it's raining out side he's soaking wet, I see him carrying a bucket inside that said mentally disabled veterans, and had his dog tags around his neck, he sat in the booth in front me and the waitress had came over to take his order asking what he wanted and he said whatever 3 dollars would get me, I know some people are out there that aint broke and trying to get money but then there's some that really do need help, and tonight I had that feeling that this man really is what he says he's, as I payed for my food, I gave the cashier some
Money for a whole meal for him, and on my way out I put 30 bucks on the table for him, and he didn't wanna take it from me, guessing where I'm young who knows, but anyways the old man shook my hand and told me thanks, and told me that my parents would be proud of the son they've raised! Take a minute and help someone Out if you can, you never know a day may come where you need help too, thankful to come from a good family such as mine,

One evening in 1970, Carole King sat at her piano in her Laurel Canyon home, lost in the rhythm of her own playing. Her friend and fellow musician James Taylor watched intently as she worked through a melody. "That’s something," he said, nodding in appreciation. She smiled, her hands moving effortlessly over the keys. That melody would soon become "You’ve Got a Friend," one of the defining tracks of "Tapestry." But at that moment, it was simply a woman rediscovering herself, stepping into a world she had long built for others but never claimed as her own.

For nearly a decade, King had been the architect behind some of the biggest hits of the 1960s, writing for artists like The Shirelles, Aretha Franklin, and The Monkees. But despite her success as a songwriter, she had never truly considered herself a performer. That changed in 1970 when she released "Writer," her first solo album. Though critically appreciated, it did not gain widespread recognition. But King was undeterred—she was preparing for something greater.

With producer Lou Adler and a group of trusted musicians, including Taylor and Joni Mitchell, King entered A&M Studios in early 1971 to record "Tapestry." The sessions were casual, warm, and organic. King sat at the piano, her voice rich with emotion, capturing the raw sincerity that would define the album. Each song felt personal, a reflection of her own life—her heartbreak, resilience, and quiet strength.

"It's Too Late" became an anthem for women reclaiming their independence, its melancholic piano chords and reflective lyrics striking a universal chord. "I Feel the Earth Move" pulsed with energy, showcasing a newfound confidence. And then there was her own version of “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” a song she had originally written for Aretha Franklin but now reclaimed in her own voice.

When "Tapestry" was released in February 1971, it resonated with millions. The album stayed on the charts for over six years and won four Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. It transformed King from a behind-the-scenes genius into a global superstar, proving that her voice carried as much power as her pen.

Today, on February 9, 2025, Carole King celebrates her 83rd birthday. Her legacy remains as strong as ever, her music still a source of comfort and inspiration. Happy birthday to a woman whose "Tapestry" continues to weave its magic across generations.

Rather than issuing a ticket to a financially-strapped Wisconsin mother, this compassionate police officer surprised her family with gifts instead. Officer Kevin Zimmerman of the Milwaukee Police Department pulled over Andrella Jackson for a registration issue with her car. He was then cheerfully greeted by her and her two daughters—although he was dismayed to find that the little girls did not have car seats.
Unfortunately, Jackson explained that she could not afford the seats since she has been struggling to buy new winter clothing for her kids for the upcoming Milwaukee winter. Zimmerman then visited a nearby Walmart and used his own money to buy coloring books, stickers, and two new car seats for $75. After paying for the purchase, he went to Jackson’s house to deliver the gifts. He even helped her install the seats and fill out the safety recall cards.

Jonathan Turley is fed up: "In this case, you're taking a misdemeanor, reviving it because it was dead, suggesting a crime that doesn't exist and then hitting Trump with dozens of counts. Most citizens see that for what it is: the weaponization of the criminal justice system."

There are about as many or more GPS Products & Service Providers than there are Makes and Models of Motor Vehicles. When seeking a provider, SERVICE should be the overriding factor. All GPS trackers employ the same technology and are simplified SmartPhones with NO Dialpad, Display, Speaker
or Microphone. However, NOT ALL GPS TRACKERS ARE CREATED EQUAL. Don't compare a Lexus to a Cobalt! All pricing is in the same ballpark but True Value and Total Commitment to Support and Training is how we do it!
