Good afternoon everyone. I am sorry to say i will be closing my business. I will be completing the work I have here but I will not be taking on any new business. I would highly recommend Tech Patrol in Derby Line for your computer repairs however they do not do cell phone. The only other option for people is in Williston and South Burlington for their phone needs.

Good morning everyone. Things have been chaotic since I have moved my shop to home and some of my customers have suffered for it and I am truly sorry. I figured it would be a clean transition and I have run into a lot of kinks I didn't foresee. My goal has always been to give affordable reliable service and it still is. Mike and Connie have been great at Northeast TV and Music taking in customer computers. They are open from 9:30 to 5 Mon- Fri and 3:30 on Sat. I fixed a problem with my voicemail and my Facebook messages so I can be contacted through either. My company number is 673-0938 and you can also send me a text if you wish. Again, I am sorry for any problems that have occurred in the last few weeks and am looking forward to being able to get back to satisfying my customers.

Starting Monday October 3rd, my office on East Main Street will be closed. I will be doing my repairs out of my home to cut down on overhead. Any computers that customers need servicing can be dropped off and picked up at Northeast TV and Music in the plaza next to Newport Rental. Good Morning everyone! Cant seem to get parts delivered so I am heading to West Lebanon to get them. Sometimes you just need to do things yourself. I will be back to the shop this afternoon. Call ahead because I do not know exactly what time I will be back. Enjoy another warm summer day folks.

Good morning everyone. I wanted to throw out another quick tip for everyone. We are having some seriously warm temperatures this summer causing a lot of overheating problems. Always remember to blow out the cooling fans on your laptops and desktops. This should be done roughly every 3 months depending on usage. Remember that laptops are not really designed to be used on our laps. Laptops suck from the bottom and blow out the sides with a filter in the middle. If you use it on your lap, the fan will suck dust and lint from your clothes filling the filter and the hot air will not be able to leave the body of the laptop causing overheating, sometimes shutdowns, and definitely damage to the motherboard.

Just another quick tip for today regarding cell phones. BACK UP your cell phone. It is as easy as going to the settings in your phone and clicking back up. It will back up to your icloud, amazon, or google accounts. The pass codes we set up on our phones protect our phones from unwanted visitors but it can also disable your phone. Imagine your phone in your pocket or purse as you are reaching in and out all day accidentally touching your screen and next thing you know your phone determines you have attempted too many wrong entries. The phone becomes locked. In 85% of cases that means resetting the phones and losing everything. Our pictures are our memories and they are precious to us so we need to protect them by saving them on an outside source.

Good morning everyone. I wanted to share another tip with everyone. I have been getting a few customers come in with cell phones that were either given to them or they bought used. A cell phone can be reset to clear the entry passcode; however, resetting the phone does not unlock the phone from a person's account. The phone can be linked to an icloud or google account that does not permit it being reactivated under a new owner. If the seller does not remember the passwords to these account it is a fairly simple process of them logging into a computer and resetting the password through the lost password ability. If there is apprehension in the seller doing this then do not buy the phone from them because it will be useless to you. Unfortunately there are more than a few stolen phones out there and all you will end up doing is losing your money. When purchasing a used phone online, buy the manufacturers refurbished phones. Some listings online list unlocked phones when they don't truly know what an unlocked phone means. The manufacturers refurbished may cost an extra $10 or $20 but you know you will receive a phone you can use.

I wanted to warn everyone about two scams going on out there right now. One scam is a phone call informing you that your computer is infested and that they are involved with Microsoft. Of course Microsoft would never call and if you needed to call them it would take three days to get to a human voice and another to get one that spoke English.
The second is a warning that flashes on your screen when you are online. This is a fraud also. There will be a 800 phone number to call. It can freeze you so you cant do anything. Do not hold down your power button to shut down. When you restart the chances are it will be there still. Instead... Hold your "Ctrl" and "Alt" button down together and tap the delete key then let go of the other two buttons. A screen will appear. Left click the Task Manager. A new box will open where you will see your browser is running. Left click the browser listed and then in the bottom right hand corner left click the "End Task" button. This will get rid of it.

Good morning everyone. I just wanted to drop a sincere apology to everyone who has come by to find my door locked at the shop. I have been dealing with some medical issues with my colitis being the newest aggravation. If anyone doesn't know what colitis is it is an ailment the affects the intestines and is extremely painful. I will be back on course next week with this running its course to running more reliable 9-5 service. I'm sorry for those who have been inconvenienced by this.

I have to regretfully announce that I will no longer be able to do house calls. It is seriously inconveniencing my other customers who arrive at the shop to drop off or pick up their computers, they arrive to find a sign on the door that I am out. Business is going well and I am hopeful after the first of the year to be able to employ someone part time so maybe I can arrange house calls on a certain day of the week. However, for now I have to discontinue this service.
