04/02/2026
Was going to make this a blog, but I actually want you to read it.
I wrote on my vision board “100”. What that meant to me is that in one of months of 2026, I would clock 100 miles of cardio. This can be on the elliptical (which it usually is), walking, biking, hiking, whatever.
This may sound easy to some, like to that chick at the gym with the weighted vest who runs marathons each morning, but for me it’s HUGE.
I am not a fan of cardio. I understand that it is necessary. I am also not a fan of complaining about things that can be fixed and I have been complaining about an extra 35 peri-pounds quite a lot.
So I made March my goal to hit 100.
And, I did it. 102.29 miles to be exact.
I am proud to have passed a new personal level of getting my butt to the gym on Saturdays, Sundays, and nights when it turns into Meathead City to get it done. For finding an elliptical when I took an overnight visit out of town, for hauling my cookies around the lake AFTER putting a couple miles in at the gym, and (my favorite) for earning respect as “my machine” was left open in a full cardio room. 😉
So the results?
Things are a little less jiggly, I drank a hell of a lot more water, I have more energy, I actually WANT to keep going (maybe at a lesser pace)…
Oh, the pounds you ask?
Lean in. I am going to say it slowly for the (men) in the back…
NOT. ONE. POUND.
No, I don’t closet-eat Ho-Hos. As a matter of fact, I ate much better this month.
So can we all understand that this crap is CHEMICAL now?
Man, whenever my hormones decide to level out, I am going to be buff under this flab! 💪🏼
On to the next! 🤩
